Too sleepy & dull for my TFF tastes, like that truly depressing & disappointing "Tipping Point" I remember the POWER of their 80's Album's guitars & drums. The excitement of Orzabal's forcefully expressive vocals. For years, each new album was of of great anticipation and rightfully so......Easily one of the Very Best Bands of that era. Please tell me: What happened ? 'Nothing lasts forever' is obviously a reality. but still evokes a sense of sadness & loss. Maybe they simply ran out of ambition & songs.....
The most beautiful music in the world (except the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan part). It's debatable how much sense it makes to accept a distorted voice and strange sounds just because it's 'art'. Maybe that's why Spotify has it in a instrumental version.
Anyone listening to this in 2024? Just discovered this song and it’s absolutely beautiful. Being Aussie, I’ve been a fan of Icehouse for a while and I cannot believe I missed this track. Love it so much! It makes me feel things I’ve never felt before.
Been a fan for well over a decade, and this is still probably my favorite track by them. I brought this band up to a friend of mine from the land of oz and he was blown away. I forget how old i am sometimes because of the simple fact that my music taste is so far from theirs.
Wow. Get I found this. I only had the version from the movie CD, and had always wished they extended it, but also that they collaborated on other pieces as well. I also found it interesting that it was not written by Peter Gabriel, as it sounds to be a mix of "Red Rain" and electronica from the day, but still definitely sounds fresh.
