Usually I learn a lot from Christian. But this one is frustrating. He says 'this is so easy a chair could play it', when he doesn't really explain what he's playing or how he's playing it. Dispiriting and unhelpful. would it be possible to at least show the music for what he's doing at each moment, so someone who doesn't already know the song can follow?
And , great news… I’ve even switched the piano on and given it a quick beating 😂 Just trying the LH with your ‘patented’ anticipation notes before chord changes. I’m very pleased with myself, about that, but will have to see how it works out in practice.
Thanks! My sheets are priced absolutely average. Have a look around. Plus, which sheet music you know comes with an elaborate tutorial? ;-) The best way for you to buy on my site might be: Set currency on Euro, then you will be charged at daily official exchange rate for AUS. Choosing other currencies Shopify uses rounding rules, so you spend a little more than necessary.
Christian My goodness the most difficult part for me is at 20:00 starting with E Lh, then processing all the E ‘s with both hands , which ones? and make it right like you do. Slower speed now at .05 still struggling. Am I alone? Any suggestions will help so much.😢 sheet music doesn’t help me with this part. Thank you NBG (Nicole)
0:00 Intro 1:12 Play-Through 4:56 Intro & Turnaround 5:44 Chorus 1 13:40 Chorus 2 19:41 Chorus 3 23:19 Chorus 4 28:37 Slow replay Didn't know you are a composer as well. 👍 This is a well rounded blues, I will use this as my next recital piece. 20:12 If you play a wrong note, play it again, even louder. And it will sound creative! 🤣
Vielen Dank abermals, mein hilfreicher Assistent! Jede Menge der Bluesstücke auf meinem Kanal sind von mir. ;-) Einige gehören sogar zu den erfolgreichsten.
Thanks Christian, I love slow blues and jazz. I keep enjoying and learning as you make new tutorials. I have a sugetion for a lesson:" One for my baby and one more for the road" ( Frank Sinatra´s style) I would be happy to learn it.
I wish I could work the slip-note style in as easily as I do rise/fall grace-notes. It’s a gap in my improv. repertoire. I’ll bookmark this lesson, for sure.
It's amazing how you can improvise around one melody. Very motivating video. This is where I get new ideas. Thanks! I got from you all the sheets. You have taught me to read a sheet. This is new laguage for me. 👏
I was a guitar teacher for 15 years. Starting this year with piano for the first time. So I know how important it is to play with fun for a lot of students before they get lost in the maze of over information. Out of all the info I must say. Christians way is the only one clear to me. I really love the philosophy to real life too. ;-) . Good job man
You’re really getting on my good nerves :) I can actually lie down feeling blue in one moment and in the next I feel like playing the happiest blues imaginable just from listening to one of your lessons. Thank you!
Really, really love your thoughtful tutorials and beautiful arrangements. So grateful for all the time, effort, and passionate enthusiasm you so generously share with others. You are a great inspiration for me, and countless others. Thank you!
Thank you so much Christian for playing, teaching, loving and reviving this amazing music I first embraced 60 years ago.. Fats Domino, Jimmy Yancey, Otis Span and Jerry Lee Lewis.. because of you and Ladyva it will never die. God bless dear man🙏🏻
