hey, great remake! Synths sound great! didn't even know there was an Arturia flanger plugin until I saw this. Not trying to sound nitpicky or rude though, but as far as I can tell on tame impalas version the kick isn't in-between the snare if you know what I mean, its actually a floor tom, so the pattern would be more like kick, floor tom, snare (in the chorus) keep doing what you're doing!
hey man! yeah I know what you mean, I went with the kick pattern for this song and then I watched drum covers where they actually play the floor tom. thank you for your comment!
hey thanks for watching! i don't have access to my computer right now, but I'll try to export the tabs to PDF next week. i will let you know when I do!
dude. what the hell. you absolutely crushed this. imma go make a cover of my own now 🤣 edit: and what’s your feedback rate with your delay. i’ve got it the song down now but i’m playing the delay as well if that makes sense
hey thank you! my feedback is set to 40% and i also turned up the delays volume. every note is repeated almost 5 times after every 923ms (1/2 of the beat). i hope it helps you!
hey thank you for watching! i used guitar rig 5 to get the tones, here's some info: clean guitar (intro and bridge): - amp simulating 'roland jazz 120' - clean settings with more gain - delay and reverb lead guitar: - distortion pedal simulating 'boss ds-1' - amp simulating vox ac30 - a little bit of delay and reverb for the heavier parts (like 4:57) i turned up the settings on the distortion pedal i hope this helps!
Thanks for the tabs! The chorus with the chord voicing really much more alive than playing the standard open chords (which just sound alright). Also, what guitar do you use in this video? Looks pretty neat.
I really wish I could find out how Kevin got that overall dirty sound to the overall sound of the record. I know, add some saturation and all but I've tried it and nothing comes close to that gritty yet clean sound he achieved on Lonerism and Melody's album...
Do you think Kevin Parker wrote this part or do you think Melody Prochet or her own guitarist wrote this part...and Kevin just produced the actual song?
well, kevin parker is listed as the producer and melody is credited as the songwriter. personally, the guitar on this song (except for the solo) doesn't sound like something kevin would've done. but hey! who knows? thank you for watching, mate :)
