They should bring back 4js console edition as it was far better optimised and the worlds being limited made building so much more enjoyable as we got to see world become alive
The odd thing about my Wii was, It WAS a Japanese Wii. I was so excited to have a Japanese Wii in my hands after so many years after realizing that when upon booting it up, The Wii had NO CHANNELS. Only The Disc Channel was there. I literally panicked and realized this coulda been messed with as I bought from a third party from who I trust on Walmart. When updating The Wii, It was all good and the channels came back as normal. The Wii was NOT in Japanese tho as like nothing happened. This was just recent like a few months ago when I got my Wii. Happy to have this bad boy in my hands again.
The SD card menu was added to the Wii Menu with version 4.0. I just remember the animation of the discs spinning up in 2006 to be the coolest thing ever. Pre-launch units had a video DVD on the Disc Channel as well (early units can have DVD playback reenabled through hacks but not on the Disc Channel).
This was the only Wii U game I owned physically during it's lifespan (other than Sonic Boom) and I was really into it in 2016. I'm so glad Pretendo is keeping SMM1 alive.
Hey, I know a little something about this! I have a video of one of these levels on my channel. Accessing the dev servers is actually something that has been know about for several years, but its been kept under wraps for what I imagine are obvious reasons. For anyone who wants to check them out for themselves, all these levels are on the internet archive. There was a funny one called something along the lines of "AUTO LEVEL HOLD RIGHT" and it would just drop a spring on you and kill you instantly. You had to find a dev exit to actually finish the level.
