@@captstevetests yes the flybridge was enclosed. I'm assuming it was a 75 as I didn't actually talk to the owner. I'm usually pretty good at estimating length.
It’s nice to be back watching your reviews Capt. Steve! I was wondering if maybe you could answer what would be your pick of either a Leopard 53 pc, a Fountaine Pajot my6, or a Aquila 54. Would really help buyers of the segment know what you think since there are a lot of naysayers of particular power catamaran brands.
Boy I sure hate to give opinions on these because they’re all nice and they’re all friends. But if you want to PM me on my Facebook page I’ll let You know what I think. facebook.com/thecaptainsteve?mibextid=LQQJ4d
I’ve met several owners of Leopards who are on their 3rd and 4th models so the build quality is garnering a lot of brand loyalty. Haven’t heard anything about R&C warranty Issues.
You could do it after market but Leopard won’t do it. It would add a lot of weight up high and affect the stability adversely. I’d save that plan for a larger boat.
Hmmm, 238 miles + 10% reserve range is not that much, even for the Great Loop (there is one section where you need something like 250+). OK doable, but not much room for error. I'd be looking at fuel bags on deck or something.
According to the Leopard specifications online, it's 18'5" plus the electronics. So you'd likely have to dismount the radar and nav light going through Chicago as well as fold the VHF antenna.
Hey... Captain... We all are glad you have your own channel... Those.... Kids who took over. boat test...., well how would a sailor say... They suck at it.. your details, showing what real buys, want to know and see is not easy to copy... The decades on the water, before, the kid captain, and female bobble head....come off like, slick car sales men.....hideing things... Even there interviews, look like a 60 min, fluff piece. ... So captain Steve , always, your videos,..... Show case, but also point out, key changes, that could make the boat better... It the key details, you show.....and your trusty tape.... I'm not sure, if BOAT TEST, NEW WOKE, kids, can read a tape or know what one is..( they to use a app, point there cell, and ask, Alexa...how big is that..😅😂😅😂 ).... I hope, boat builders read my post.... Old school, says.... Let a fool, show your boat...... Sales sink...
@@captstevetestsoops….. But great to find your new channel. I did wonder why the Boat Test I always admired and respected had taken such a turn to the shallow end of RU-vid. Welcome back 👍🏻👍🏻
Have heard nothing but bad about RT quality. We on bed we close to a purchase. But after meeting a couple guys that owned a boat yard told us how terrible the RT quality is. I HOPE IT HAS GOTTEN BETTER.
Can't wait to get my new boat and have you come do a review...just have to decide on what boat, and I'm constantly changing the criteria for what should be the perfect all around boat which we all know doesn't really exist....
i drove along the coast yesterday and the car was covered in salt. i wonder how the interior of this boat looks after a weekend all opened up. i very much like the way the top of the fly bridge grill cantilevers up so you can use the top as counter space.
Reupload I guess. To help the algorithm I'll say again, fantastic boat. Impossibly beautiful. Perhaps the most impressive of the new launch boutique boat brands. A combination of the opulent fit & finish of the bespoke St Barts 75, but the same huge "useable, real" space of the tug/explorer styled production Arcadia Sherpas. Clearly a perfectionist architect starting from scratch with no limitations rather than trying to incrementally improve an existing line. Just incredible.
Actually YT had an issue with one of the music tracks and when I elected to mute, I thought it would mute only the music. But noooooo. So had to start over. But I agree with you. This is an incredible boat.
I don’t think so. That just makes for a remarkably long video and stats show viewers don’t stick around for the whole thing. But putting them into separate videos serves better in most cases.
Been watching Captain Steve Larivee videos for the last 10 years. I was once a dreaming young teenager who always wanted a boat. I am almost in a position to buy a boat and I won’t get one that doesn’t have the captain steve stamp of approval.
Hi Captain Steve!!This is so helpful because it's not like you can run to the corner store if you don't have something you need out at sea. Just proves how the little things matter as much as the bigger ones. I learn something new from every video you do. Great video and thanks for the education. Take care of yourself, Jersey Lou PS Hopefully one day "I'll see you on the water"
I’m only saying that because the music was overtaking your voice if you know what I mean, makes it hard to listen to what you’re saying with the music on
