I am TrevinF and I have my original channel called TrevinF on RU-vid. I thought about what I could do for VR and I also thought maybe adding VR into the mix of my variety stuff might get people lost so I made this channel. I will be playing games like VRChat and Pavlov and some other fun games!
I would say it is a lot better especially when you play standalone! But even on PC you notice a difference as you can make the quality even higher than the quest 2!
Can anybody tell me if you can use the quest 3 Outdoors /in sunlight? The quest to using it outdoors and in sunlight was a big No-No we're talking damage to the machine damage to your eyes and so on. I'm looking to see if Quest 3 is the same where it has to be indoors
@@TrevinFVR It's kind of funny when you think about it. There main marketing point for this unit is mixed reality if I'm being honest and. One would assume that would mean going outside I know the quest to there was problems with Heating issues and you had to keep it out of sunlight. Remember don't let it out in sunlight, don't get it wet and don't feed it after midnight okay bad joke almost nobody probably gets.. Honestly wish I could get the older Oculus go. Would like to get a couple of those cheap. They make for a decent hud unit. Yes you can watch RU-vid videos on the quest to as an example. If you're familiar with the old Sony heads up display ironically it works better for watching RU-vid videos and you can connect it to a DVD player that has HDMI. One thing I hate about the quest units is you can't connect them to a DVD drive or connect them to a computer and run a DVD from your computer onto the quest. I have a insanely massive Blu-ray and DVD collection and a big chunk of that is anime;). So I got lucky that I got one of those Sony units years ago for almost nothing literally bought the thing piecemeal LOL I got the headset where somebody found it in a storage unit paid like 50 bucks and I got the box that it plugs into where it was found in other storage unit in a totally different Province. That Sony unit to this day cost as much or more than buying a brand new Oculus Quest model 2 and the old Oculus go which makes for a decent HUD unit for watching RU-vid videos and Netflixs costs almost as much as buying a brand new or used Quest model 2 That's why I originally bought the quest to and said the hell with it. Was considering getting another Sony as a backup but ended up getting the Oculus Quest 2. Where you can watch Netflix Disney plus and Amazon Prime I don't think it has the capability of running Paramount that's the one thing I've been trying to find out if it'll run Paramount and shutter. It runs RU-vid videos okay but the screen is not as big as on the Sony unit and with the Sony unit it's more immersive where it's actually first person and you almost never see the edges of the screen like you're watching a movie theater screen it's more of a first person perspective with the Sony if that makes any sense. But unfortunately the one drawback of the Sony as you can't look right or left the screen moves with your head when you move right and left LOL if those damn Sony units weren't so expensive I have a couple more of them. Sony units biodegrades and brakes after a couple months you can use the Oculus Elite head strap and a couple of tie straps to attach it to the Sony hud;). Ironically that thing never caught on outside of Japan they were never even marketed I think outside of Japan. That's why it's weird that I found one in pieces between two separate storage units in different parts of Canada. With any luck the quest 3 will be able to be used in sunlight but I doubt it. There's games like Pokemon go that would have been perfect for the quest 3 with pass through. There's all sorts of pass-through stuff that would make much more sense out in the actual environment rather than running around your house.
