Hi there! I'm Ru and I spend way too much time thinking (and talking) about planners, journalling, fountain pens, inks and stickers. Always on the quest for the perfect planner spread and new ways to use my Hobonichi & Sterling Ink planners.
Haha I just bought all the dog versions of these Midori stickers and post-its. I didn't get the planner because I have a few Hobonichis, but it's super cute! There's honestly too many nice options for someone like me who wants to use them all. 😅
I purchased the puppy version of this diary and I could not love it more. I agree that for me it's not a replacement for the Hobonichi or the like. It's my plan to start doing RU-vid videos and this is one of the planners I want to talk about because I'm shocked more people are talking it. It's adorable. lllll
I may be the only weird one, but by far, you and Jetpens are the only RU-vidrs who pronounce "MIdori" right. Just drives me insane with all the MiDOri I keep hearing. 😅
I had already been interested in this, but have specific plans for 2025, so this will be my 2026 for sure-- hopefully they have a cat theme next year as well. Is this style of midori diary published every year?
They did have a cat-themed (and dog-themed) planner/diary last year, but I'm not sure if it had the same (weekly) layout. If someone else reads this, feel free to enlighten us 😊
I recently bought the stickers but not the planner cos i’m already committed to the midori 1 page 1 day for 2025. Now i’m raking my brain for a reason to get this one hahaha 🤣. Cat person problems, i know.
This diary is absolutely adorable. The illustrations are so cute. But I am set for my system next year. So no cute catplanner for me. I hope you enjoy this one Ru🐱

Hello! Lovely washi tapes. I will have to check out the Seasons Passing and I was already looking at the Mediterranean Breeze. When you correct your grammar or English it makes me smile. These are a great assortment of stickers. I like that there are a variety of small stickers you can use besides the full size ones. I agree with you a little decoration on the page gives it a little personality.
You got me back into my Weeks Mega for the rest of the year. It's my planner peace, I don't know why I keep hopping around only to come back to it because it works for me. Thanks for keeping us all inspired with your videos!

I have both of these pens. I am so happy with them. Eventually I want to get them ground to an EF though. They are sturdy and write lovely though. I inked up my Earl Grey with the same Dominant Industry ink.
I might do that as well at some point, they write great but I think I'd prefer an EF nib on them. They DI earl grey tea ink looks so good with the pen, and I love how both the pen and ink have the same inspiration 😊

Alt-goldgrün will definitely be the next ink I'll try in the Matcha Latte, as well as a blue in the Earl Grey. I feel like these pens won't get a 'forever ink pairing', because there are just too many good options 🤩
I got a new 5-year, a cousin, an a6 techo, two a6 day frees, three weeks, pencil boards, index stickers, the a6 yellow leather cover, the dark cherry leather 5yr cover, the a6 and weeks Cover on Cover with the doggie faces on it;) all arrived safely yesterday‼️

I love your color combination here! This month I've been loving a bottle of ink that a friend sent me - Kobe #22 Shinkaichi Gold. It goes on a sort of corroded green color and dries gold; reminds me of black-eyed susan flowers or the color of green leaves that have started to fade to yellow, with lots of shading. Perfect for autumn. My favorite autumnal orange is Dominant Industry Ginger Chicken - another great shading ink.
The way you describe Kobe #22 makes it sounds very interesting, definitely need to try that ink someday! And I've heard many good things about Ginger Chicken, it looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Ugh I knew the earl grey tea was beautiful but it’s even more so in your lighting and video. Those little blue flecks are so cute and pretty! The amber brown translucent body is super beautiful. Wow, congrats with your new job again and these two exclusives are a banger of a celebratory reward! :)
Thank you Lao! The blue is such a cool addition, I love details like that. I'm usually not the biggest fan of a translucent body but it just works so well with the warm and soft amber color. 🤩

I'm happy you got them! I have two of the Benu Earl Grey Tea pens. It's one of my all time favorite pens and it made Benu one of my favorite pen companies for sure. I have one inked with Diamine Sepia, and the other has Teranishi Nostalgic Honey
I adore Benu. I have the Earl Grey (medium nib) and it writes like a dream. The other two I have is AstroGem Leto and Talisman Raven (Gourmet Pens exclusive).

Yay!!! Ru, congrats on your beautiful pens. Benu's are some of my favorites. I have the Matcha Latte pen and love it so much. I love all my Benu's. Earl Grey Tea is on my wish list. I have used all kinds of inks, including shimmers and they have performed with them all. I also only have fine nibs in them. Enjoy and thank you for sharing.
