I use a mix of Choco-pan (by Satin Ice) and Dream Fondant for a perfectly user friendly and super delicious taste. I find this much easier to work with than Satin Ice and it tastes way better.
Mary , to stick the fondant onto a bc cake , is shortening good to use. I have a cake in July,weather wise its pretty warm. The cake will be outdoors too . Any advice for this. I dont want the fondant falling off.
If you are drapping it over the entire cake, I would not use anything. As the cake comes to room temp, there will be some condensation, and that should be enough. If you are paneling, I would probably spray it with a little water first, wrap it with the fondant, and then place it in the fridge.
