Hi, my name is Justin. I'm a certified gearhead. I have a 363 cubic inch, NX-assisted, stick shift 1993 Mustang GT, which you will see a lot of on the channel. I've had it for over 10 years now, and it'll continue to be my passion project til the end of time. My absolute passion in life is cars, and I'll continuously be uploading build videos, race videos, and all types of general car shenanigans on this channel! Please consider subscribing if you're a lover of cars and would like to keep up to date with what's going on with my build, as well as builds we work on at my dad's automotive performance shop, Savage Performance. Our build videos typically contain lots of tech tips, so you may even learn something along the way. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
In the 1960's when I was a child, I thought Studebakers were so funny looking. Now I think they are really cool. I want an Avanti. Too bad they went out of business.
This would have had a 3 speed shifter on the column. No directionals , no interior mirror, only one tail light/break light. They didn't come with that silly spot light either.
Granny 4 speed was optional on 1/2 and 3/4 ton, so it may have come that way. I had a 53 3100 that was original 4 speed many years ago. It certainly didn't come with the goofy trailer style wheels LOL.
Hello Justin, my name is James and I'm am looking at purchasing this exact car from the current owner. Could you please tell me your thoughts on the car (body and drivetrain wise) before I do. Love your videos. Thanks in advance
Hey! I asked my dad (Dennis, who recorded this video) about the car, and he said this: The car was a nice car when we had it, but it's also changed owners at least once already. The heads were too small for the 408. I'm not sure about the cam. I don't think it was a good match for the engine. It had shorty headers that had one tube smashed to fit. Adam tuned it, made low 400 to the wheels at a lower rpm, but didn't have power up top. If someone would put the right heads, cam, and longtubes, it would make much better power. It had flat top pistons, which makes compression on a 408 with the right heads. Adam tuned it on E85 because of the compression it had.
Woah, im going to he doing a 4.6 Triton build but will be getting a vic after. What state are yall in incase id like to have yall source and install the kit. I really dont like putting huge amounts of money twoards a random online website but am not opposed to a dealer with connections that would take my money and order and install the kit.
You only live once....i wasnt around in 69 to experience 69 camaros when they werent antique so regardless how nice im driving the crap outta my 69,not worrying about rock chips or rubber stuck to the bottom of the 1/4 panels from burnouts and drive rain or shine...when im dead what do i care about a car or care its condition for the next guy?!
Great vid, I believe I have the same issue on my '62. You said you may want to use MMO on all the springs, but wouldn't the o-ring stop oil from going down the valve?
Let's say my 2013 5.0 is bone stock. And I bought this supercharger and decided too install it very first thing. Would it blow my motor? Or would I need too buy extra parts for the mustang before I decide too install this kit? Please let me know I'm desperate
I own of these that got parked in the 70s at the latest 20 years ago my dad and grandpa get the engine running and they haven’t touched it since I’ve been soaking the thing in oil for a couple weeks in preparation of starting it just to help prevent this at $425 for a set of rocker arms it’s definitely worth your time to be prepared
1550 of these were offered to the public, all with white exteriors, with camel interiors, some hard tops, most with T-tops, some with cloth seats, most with leather, with 5 additional prototypes having been made during the model's development, of which, no one seems to know the whereabouts of, and none of which were sold to the public.. Those 5 prototypes were made in colors other than white, such as red and black, which is interesting. The engines in these TTA's were not "GNX engines". They did have the turbo upgrades of the GNX, but Pontiac, in order to fit the 3.8 Liter V6 between the shock towers of the Firebird, had to use the heads from the new for 1988, 3800 front wheel drive V6, which actually flowed better than the standard 3.8 Liter head. For the GNX, Buick had ported and polished the old existing 3.8 Liter head. Pontiac also did their own tuning to the PCM, and conservatively rated this engine at 250 h.p., though it easily made in excess of 300 h.p. The TTA was also aerodynamic, and low to the ground, and therefore, did not get the speed limiter that was installed on all Grand National's and GNX's, limiting them to 124 mph. The TTA, without this limiter, and according to various magazine reports, reached speeds between 158-162 mph. There were 547 GNX Regals produced in 1987.
I saw a car just like this about two weeks ago on a semi car hauler headed south on I75 passing through Fayette county Kentucky. Typical Mecum Auction behavior.
My 02 GT with Trick Flow heads and a 2.1 inercooled KB put down 410 rwhp and 408 rwtq, only 8 psi.. I am very pleased with 3.90 gears w/ this set up. It pulls all the through 5 gear and cruises 75 mph at 1800 rpm. Of course a smaller pulley 14 to 15 psi and longtubes are coming. Cant wait..
I hope you know how to rebuild the Buick 3.8 turbo? A lot of mechanics think they can but wind up screwing them up, that's probably what happened to the last rebuild. The GNX and TTA are both Buicks but the TTA had diffent heads allowing for more boost pressure for instance.
Sorry but they arent GNX engines. Its kind of in between. Has the GNX intercooler, GN turbo, but has 3800 front wheel drive heads. Also it is a M.A.F motor. Nothing wrong with drag racing them either. Just gotta know your tune and run E85
He has the block out going to a machine shop that could bore it .030 over. But he is not boring it. Will he reuse the pistons on an engine he claims was ruined from racing. He should have changed his oil every 500 miles and he would still have good bearings. That's called maintaining a Race car.
My shop built a 12:5:1 compression coyote motor and the customer runs on 93 octane, BUT Everytime he fills up he does use Octane Booster. E85 around me is quite far out of reach
@user-sr5tu8oh7v Shafiroff kinda screwed us with giving us mismatched parts, which blew the engine, so I'd say no. We also haven't gotten the rebuild finished yet, so I can't really speak to its reliability yet.
