Mixtvision is an award-winning cross-platform publishing and production house focused on engaging and immersive stories.
Starting out as a publisher for kids’ apps on mobile we‘ve developed into a cross-platform indie games publisher with a strong emphasis on narrative and emotional interactive content for all ages.
Our passion and mission is to tell good stories. We believe that as a society and as individuals, we need strong stories and profound experiences in fictional universes to help us make sense of the (real) world and to create empathy. That is why we produce and publish games that are rooted in storytelling, that convey meaning and stimulate valuable insight into ourselves and our surroundings.
I absolutely love this game, to the point that I've wanted to write a literal essay about it. Not only does it have one of my very favorite video game soundtracks (so dang atmospheric), but I think it's a masterclass in environmental storytelling and especially in efficiency of theme. Every game element feeds so neatly into this clear thematic core, from the timing of the music and background visuals to the use and restriction of color to the feedback loop of engine upkeep. Sounds silly to say, but i think this game brings out the full thematic potential of a one-way sidescroller. And while that monotonous grind of engine upkeep may not be super fun, it's really fantastic for driving home the story's messages in a tangible and natural way-the game doesn't have to tell you that the engines are wasteful and inefficient, because you get to see that first-hand as you try to fill the tank over and over and crawl along painfully slowly. And the game doesn't have to tell you why people built them, because you also get to experience the sense of safety and control the engines give when you're sheltering inside from the climate storms or crossing that huge gulf in the giant walker. That's what's unique about video games as a storytelling medium-the ability to use player action and experience to convey meaning, which non-interactive media can't do. One of my favorite moments in the game is after one long stormy night, just after things calm down then suddenly things start to lighten and your realize that the sun is rising. And there's this gorgeous glow of color, finally some real color as dawn spreads across the sky. And you see... sheep! Animals, for the first time, and green things growing, fields of crops! And you wonder if this is it, if you've finally found what your character's been looking for as you limp into this little town, only to then see the buildings collapsed and fallen, and realize that no, there's no hope here either. It's good stuff.
Please make game far lone sails 2 please :( iam so like and happy on this game please developer please 😀 i am so like vibes in this game and i so sad i see the ending What's really sad is that we still don't know what the fate of that character will be. :(
REALLY enjoyed this. To the point I bought the sequel day one, sight unseen. A satisfying, yet slightly haunting little management/adventure style game.
Hello can you give me info about Onde's soundtrack, I couldnt find anything, for example who made it or name one of the songs or this song used in trailer, thank you
Hey there, thank you very much for your question. The music is taken from the game itself. It's been composed and arranged by Grégoire Jandot dit Danjou (Grhyll), one of Onde's devs. Unfortunately, the game's soundtrack is currently not available to buy seperately, but this might change in the future.
i'm from iran , lots of turmoil going on , killings , oppression , i don't know how longer i will live , but when night comes along , i had sth to look foward to , when it's very calm in all the city , when good and evil are all in their deep sleep , it's just me sitting in my room feeling the pleasent cool breez , this game departed me from things of this world , it was beutiful , wholsome , calming , relaxing , meditating , though provoking , albeit a little melancholie and sad , i was that little guy in my ship , sailing away alone but not lonely , safe and sound in my little otomotive , thank you guys with all my heart, you really created sth very unique
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! It's very moving to hear that FAR made you find some peaceful moments in these trying times. Take care and stay safe <3
I've watched others play this game and it makes me want to play it myself, it looks so beautiful and amazing. No matter how many times I watch it or listen to the soundtrack I always get goosebumps and I can visibly see the game scenes in my head. I hope to play it some day
The Tell-Tale Heart (Edgar Allan Poe): honour killings our committed openly and honestly, what happens when where honour is found in killing, the perpetrator can't be honest about it? For example, I find it honourable to regain my dignity by killing the man who rasped me in a society which shames me for being raped and I tell of my crime to that society with brutal honesty how will I sound to those people? Much like in the honesty depicted in a Tell-Tale Heart because the truth can't be uncovered by hearing an honest account of the murdering because in recounting for example your murder of a rapist in the society which isshaming you for having been raped is being raped again in recounting the murder of the rapist which had restored your dignity. Unfortunately, we can't answer that question - the game was published by Frontier Foundry, not by us, so we don't know if or when a mobile version of Changing Tides is planned.
I have idea the far lone sails sandbox mode you can choose okomotives and oppidumotive and energy is endless you can explore the world please make the far lone sails sandbox edition
Thank you very much for sharing your idea! To manage expectations, however, a sandbox mode or similar extensions/DLCs are currently not planned for FAR: Lone Sails.
However short, it is an impressive game, exploring very interesting situations and, of course, ideological stances (admittedly based on existent ideologies but nonetheless examined in an engaging way).
Just completed this game. This is the type which like to play. One thing i wish they'd add something like dialogue or story telling thing (just a little) because it just had relaxing music sounds🎵. Still 10/10 for the game, great job developers and the team. They've created such an amazing game.
Hey there, it's currently not planned to bring the soundtrack to additional platforms (you could, of course, get it via Bandcamp and import the MP3 files to your iTunes library).
The soundtrack is incredibly unique and full of personality. It matches the ambience of thw game sooo well. Kind of calm, kind of somber, kind of bleak and dead, but still very mesmerizingly colourful.
