Why would my high beam control system be disabled? Had my drivers door repainted and the body shop disabled it. Took it to Mazda and they said they fixed it, when I start my car the lights on the dash come back on. I can clear them when I turn my light knob to high beam for a couple of seconds.
Weird question perhaps but why would someone wants them off? I actually find them great for the road for safety reason that incoming vehicles can spot you instantly.
Just personal preference. They're not required by law in the US. My main goal was trying to get the actual head lights to turn off, while keeping the LED accents on. But the relay disabled the whole thing, so they can't run independently like my VW. I plugged it back in since my wife preferred to have DRLs and it's her car.
Love watching stuff like this, I have a Genesis and a SNES I kind of want to mod, at least old systems have flash cards 😂 that's what's always stopped me with PS2 and Dreamcast
It's gotten super easy over time. Both the Genesis and SNES have an Everdrive cartridge that you can dump games to an SD card and plug into them. I haven't messed with the PS2 yet but it's on my list.
Fixed! You’re the man thank you so much. I felt annoying, worthless and wasteful having those lights on during the day. I wanted the yellow lights on by themselves and bingo 🔥
I guess the US versions of CX5 don't get the headlight that the rest of the world do. I saw a post on an Australian CX5 forum and their DRLs consist of the halo and a small LED light(not the lowbeam/main headlight) and they look so much better in daytime.
The steps listed by @tommy13965 worked for my 2021 Touring but the Halos do not light up with parking lights on, only the yellows. Steps: each setp must be done in no more than 5 sec between. which is not hard at all, just go over steps in your head a moment before and it's easy 1. Acc on (tap start button twice) 2. Ebrake on 3. turn headlights to parking lights and back to off 5 times (I counted 1 every time it went back to off) 4. press the emergency hazard button on and off 5 times (or just push it 10 times) 5. turn headlights to parking lights and back to off 5 times AGAIN 6. Ebrake off (must have foot on brake to turn off) Voila But thanks cyclone for the relay removal info 👍 It's good to know as well >>>EDIT: my daytime running lights seem to have reactivated. didn't do anything but start and drive a few times since the disable. Looks like pulling the relay maybe the better option afterall.
My goal was to hopefully have the actual LED headlight disabled, but maintain the LED running lights. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. An argument could be made for halogen bulbs that this increases the life span. Either case, this is just purely instructional.
To extend the live of them because the low/high beams also act as DRLs You can just use your parking lights to have your angel eyes as DRL with tail lights as an alternative then if you own that trim
@@vivianyan5017 I didn't go out too far since I'm not great at swimming. I'm about 5'10 and got to a few spots that were almost deep enough I couldn't touch the bottom.
There is a program called forscan that you should be able to reprogram them. It works on Ford Lincoln Mazda. I got the program for my Ford F150 and was able to turn on all kinds of features, you have your choice on what to use as a DRL. LED, with headlight, Headlight alone, Led Alone, Turn Signal etc. My F150 came with the headlights on all the time and I changed it to turnsignal. I also turned on foglights as cornering lights (turn right the right fog comes on, turn left the left one comes on. I turned on the window control on the feyfob and more. I was able to get Forscan to connect to my 2023 CX-5 and found the module for the DRL but I would need the codes in order to reprogram it. Kind of hoping someone here has done that and can share the codes.
My left side drl light is dead,so this was a great tutorial to me. I thought. When I remove the relay, marked,DRL,at the same position as in your car,but the right side DRL is still on.. I missed out something? :/
@@CyclonesWorldUnfortunatly no warranty. Its a 2018, and the 7 years extra warranty Does not include headlights. But….. i noticed one strange thing. When I popped out the TAIL relay, the DRL died. And of course so did the tail lights, so that is not an option. Strange…..Maybe all the moisture/water, that is inside my headlight has fu???d up everything.😮
I have a Sim rig. So I'm leaving a like and comment before getting through the video. I'm excited to see this. I've just be procrastinating to play mario kart 64 on my rig. I been playing every other n64 racing game. Would be so much fun if they had online racing servers so people like us could play competitively with other sim rig players.
I think if I can get the wheel to return to center with the emulator, it might actually be a lot of fun. But this was definitely a bit frustrating lol. I have 2 other videos right now with the sim rig too, check those out :)
