So for the rear bags, you only bolted the top of the airbags to the car... If you didnt do the bottom, when its lower than normal and you go over a bump, how comes it doesnt fall off the axle at the bottom?
@@AndrewOgilvie1ahh so basically as long as it's not fully deflated (which you wouldn't drive with anyway) the pressure holds it against the axle like springs? Wonder if it would fall off if it was fully deflated 😂
@beaniepud i ran the same setup in my old showcase for about 4/5 years, and it never happened. It wouldn't be able to fall out because of the one bolt. That bolt would have to break for it to fall out
@@AndrewOgilvie1 ahh fair enough thanks mate Last question, there's obviously a gauge to regulate the pressure in the tank etc, but how do you make sure you don't over inflate the bags themselves when you fully extend them, or do they just stop filling when they're fully up (assuming the tank isn't overpressured that is)? And what sort of pressure do you put in your tank?
Seriously all you had to do was jack the car up, ffs no need to go to all this bother. Absolutely ridiculous, Had Astra k jacked up and splitter installed in minutes FFS man.
Certainly, can do it that way. I had the bumper off because I was taking the "fog light surrounds" (if that's what they are called considering the vxr doesn't have fogs) off the front bumper to be carbon skinned for another video which is why I had removed it.
With the right pressure, the screws will tap themselves into the plastic bumper. You could use a small pilot hole, which would make putting the screws in easier.
I know this is an old video, but if you actually remove the bumper, for install, there are markings where to actually fit the sensors. Saves having to measure and mark the positions of each sensor.
The only reason I never done that is out of convenience. I do think you'd get a better result however. Yous then need to make templates of where they sit on the car and have double sided tape to replace the old stuff. You'd get a much better longer lasting result. You could just buy black badges and swap them over. By the time you buy the primer, base coat and lacquer and factoring in your time to do it, it would probably be more cost effective.
@@AndrewOgilvie1 ah yeah of course, I didn't think about that actually. I'll most likely go for your way so I can avoid putting them back on. Nothing would be worse than them falling off while driving. Thank you for the fast response, have a good one mate!
It would only fail an mot if it was fitted unsafe. For example it drags along the floor, screws/sharp edges sticking out. I've personally never had a problem but if your unsure the best thing to do is talk to your local garage on what's passable and not. Hope that answers your question. Just like many things in life it's usually upto the person testings discretion. I previously had a harsh mot on my Alfa 159 saloon because it had halos fitted to the standard headlights and the headlight projection had not been readjusted and the beams was too low.
Hi mate. Did you have problems getting the parking sensors to work after they were fitted? I cannot get mine to work and am not sure if it is s as canbus system causing the problem. I found green/white wire in left rear quarter which is reverse signal and when it connected to black box nothing is happening. Did you need to buy anything else or did you just tap into reverse wire? Please help🙏
I'd have a look into where you've taken you live feed from for it to be a canbus problem. How did you come to the conclusion its the green and white? I'm just thinking methodically. Where have you taken your earthing point from? Sometimes in the cheaper kits the parking sensor wires the clips are on the wrong way, ive had this presonally happen before with a kit. I've never had any problems with lives and earth's before on my past vauxhalls.
Ali express sell them with or without the naff sport embossed on it in matt gloss or carbon fibre they have gone up to £36 as your paying £ 16 postage now cheaper on ebay but only available with the sport logo.
Madness the prices of websites like wish and ali express. They were designed to be cheap items with cheap delivery. Not many bargains to be had on there now.
Red calipers add 5hp horsepower per corner. In all seriousness, its an accent on the car that should have been standard. I'm more of a yellow caliper person but for the ambient lighting in the car was red along with the seat trims and seatbelts. I was daily driving the car so upgrading the already amazing brakes was not really worth the cost and maintenance side. Considering I went through around 8 tyres in a year window.
I will be in the near future fingers crossed. I've been busy with having a baby, moving job, buying, moving and renovating the house. Been a super busy but super rewarding year. Just wished I could spare some funds for something interesting for the channel.
Thanks mate! They are universal so I don't See why it couldn't be done. The fact its in 3 parts will allow for it to be mounted in a number of different angles and widths
I bought the same spoiler for my GLA45 and have the same issues with gaps in the fitment. Rather than try solving it, I decided to just spend the money on the Brabus spoiler instead.
What is the length from the middle of the spoiler exstension to the end so I can measure it mate on my car as I have seat Ibiza sport 2008 6L model.. I currently have no spoiler but some people still add a spoiler exstention without
