I'm a relatively new fan of Ochs. I've scoured RU-vid for live performances, and I've never seen this one. Lest we forget. Thanks for sharing this, as well as helping keeping Phil's message and music alive.
Meh i'm way more interested in The Smile for the forseeable future. I can't understand why people have such loyalty to a brand (Radiohead) ahead of the creatives involved. I guess it's just nostalgia. Why does anyone want 'album no 10' so badly when the Smile albums and shows are great and the other guys are getting to actually write, record and produce their own songs which is way more creativity than they will ever be able to contribute to a Radiohead album which will always be Thom Yorke's songs. Just because it will say 'Radiohead' on the cover? Does anyone really believe Ed O'Brien or Colin Greenwood are THAT important that they could have made the Smile records significantly better? Phil Selway's a good drummer. I don't miss him on those records because Tom Skinner is awesome too, but in a different, refreshing way. If Thom, Ed and phil made a record without the Greenwoods that would be interesting too... but it would still sound like a Thom Yorke record because he is the song writer and the main ingredient and nothing will ever be recorded by Radiohead that wasn't primarilly driven by Thom, outside of maybe a few B-sides. The presence of the various other individuals just changes the flavouring a little. Since The Eraser was released in 2006 my two least favourite Thom Yorke written albums are probably King of Limbs and A Moon Shaped Pool... If Radiohead ever amke another record then great, i'll listen to it. If it's at the expense of More Smile records... i'd rather not have it.
Seems like you don't understand how much the other members were involved in the creation of Radiohead songs. The Smile is a great band, but they are also a different band.
Really discounting what Colin, Ed and Phil bring to Radiohead. Also, with a Radiohead album comes a Radiohead tour, and a chance to see them play Radiohead songs that we love live, which at this point who knows how many of those opportunities are left.
It's also the meaning and weight of the name and the pressure and expectation that comes with that. The band is a story the other projects couldn't really hope to become. That said i'm not too fussed either, especially now they're not playing together all the time (which made them what they were).
He couldve just said "I think it looks cool" and the chat would be like "cringe" and people would move on lol. His insecurity keeps getting him into such stupid clippable situations.
Yeah dude couldn't dress or style to save his life like barely even a year ago and now he's (quite obnoxiously) policing people's fashion during streams all the time
@@jeremymr i think they mean that the audio kinda sounds like it's from the camera/maybe a room mic, rather than the actual audio coming from the microphones in front of each person's face
I think they didn't really record well. Some of the weaker songs in my mind and it's might not be surprising they just didn't meet their standards or are still considered half baked.
I have heard a rough demo recording of this full track from a guy who went to school with Andy Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, he has a copy of it. His name was also Andy if that helps the search😭
