Interesting seeing the water wheel planter in use. I grew up in NE Pennsylvania and worked on farms every Summer. We would grow our own cabbage transplants, so that meant planting the seed out early in Spring then once ready to plant out, we would pick the transplants from 0700-1200, lunch, then 1300 onward. Planting out the cabbages. We didnt use a waterwheel, we used another type. four of us on back and two rotating wheels. Depending on the crop, every space got a plant or every one. Each plant was hit with liquid fertilizer like urs.
