Good catch! Idk how we missed the most important part of that card, hexproof. 🤦🏼♂️. I think maybe I was just focusing on the part of being able to remove the tidebinder
@@DoubleSleevedMTG I did not miss anything right? lol like you Sisay should have just won there on the spot I am pretty sure cause that was in response to the Sisay activation. So that Sisay activate happens and I think you just blink dockside and win out.
@@DoubleSleevedMTG and also LQR gives Sisay the ability so when you tapped Sisay to add mana with relic and then subsequently dealt damage to tidebinder because of the LQR ability, she still has hex proof. Almost positive you cannot D Swat her ability cause you cannot target her anyways so you cannot change the target of her ability. But for sure the tidebinder part fizzled and you should have just gotten the activation and won regardless. But I think you double won cause you played LQR and then everyone just ignored anything it did lol
Offering draws every single round is stupid and shouldn’t be allowed . It’s illegal in chess and for good reason . It has nothing to do with playing Magic
We agree that the draw system is broken in Magic, but rules as written currently it is legal. We also believe that everything that is legal within the rules of the game should be taken advantage of until it is fixed.
Yeah it had blown me out but there was still a swords, a lightning bolt, and a 3mana kill spell/draw a card. So there was no way I was winning at that table. But it was really fun and again learned a ton from the games I played.
This is so weird. Lol Obviously that mystical tutor can grab some interaction, butnsince RogSi is going last they may very well just be muliganing for a t1 win. Lol
#1 priority is obviously to get to more mana sources quickly. So it kind of depends how many lands and <=2mv mana sources you have in the deck. Probably gonna keep it and not go for the turn 2 commander route, but for turn 1 Mystic Remora. Then when the first 2 normal draws (or a Remora draw) hit a fast land, turn 2 can be used to pay up and ramp with Talisman by using the Simian Spirit Guide.
I am excited for the Nadu ban, he has a toxic gameplay loop that just, doesn't allow for interaction. As long as you have an equip in starting hand, unless someone is running a super low cost targeted removal for it, he wins. MTGinsider just did an article that 1 in 4 decks at MH3 Modern Pro Tour are Nadu, and thats Modern. He is way more accessible in Commander. Apparently in another tournament, out of the top 8, Nadu was featured 5 times, and 4 of those were top 4. It's genuinely disgusting and I'm excited to see his removal.
I dont think it should be banned.. Its a competitive commander and it just means you have to have a rule 0 conversation.. There are way more competitive decks that have better win rates than Nadu.. If someone is bringing Nadu to your casual games than talk to that person but if you are playing cEDH than get good.. Good gameplay ^_^
I'll consider a turn 1 Tevesh instead, Najeela and Atraxa usually start with mana dorks such as birds. Maybe BF might get a nuts start, but no 2nd land and depend on your opponents with a fish is not good. I can draw 2 cards on turn 2 + my regular draw. 3 cards guaranteed. Then you might cast a remora to keep the drawing (they might cast more stuff turn 2).
solid keep, not only due the fish, but also for having the alchemist early on for double Nadu triggers per turn. Great starter hand, two strong engines.
@@TemKhanno you can’t. If the equipment is already attached to the you can’t try to reattach it since it already is on the creature already. You need at least two creatures to keep doing this. This is a misplay
Why couldn't the Gilded Hullbreaker bounce the Dockside back to hand? Hullbreaker's second ability says "Return target nonland permanent to its owner's hand". 12:00
I'm not sure. He might have just named sphinx habitually. I'm also not sure why he tried to reverse thoracle instead of casting it normally. I drew the Pyroblast off of the tainted pact cast and had a swansong in hand
pod seems fast, no interaction in hand and we're really having to lean on the Nadu player to keep rogsai and korvald in check. hand can easily find a win con on turn 2 (intuition off mystical) and may have the mana for it with dockside for a turn 2 win, but more than likely is playing a turn 2 rhystic and praying we get to see a 3rd turn. I don't love it, but we have a good plan; I'd keep and roll the dice that our topdeck is live. mystical tutor is really carrying this decision since it let's you find interaction or a win condition.
It's a questionable keep in this pod. Everything feels a turn slow. In a fast pod like this you either want to a mana crypt for t1 Rhystic or a JLo for t1 Ishai
noticing that i would have lost imp recruiter to that attack i should have mad an imp recruiter copy from cursed mirror because it would not have been an imp recruiter after my turn\
