Hello beautiful people and welcome to my channel. My name is Coral and I like to make videos about a variety of different things that interest me. If you like my content go ahead and subscribe to stay updated on future posts :)
Thank you for sharing these! I'm in my 30s and went on a river cruise in France a couple years ago with family and was shocked how busy and tired I was! I find it tough to find vlogs that are specifically from Viking cruises, I think because of the average demographic, so this sneak peak in to our upcoming cruise on the Rhine is appreciated!
I think it's definitely cheaper and easier than doing wall paneling, as for painting it might be comparable but since I'm not an artist I think the wall paper would look a lot more realistic
It was so beautiful!! I definitely recommend going in the warmer months when everything is in bloom and the grasses are lush. It also got chilly in some parts despite it being late spring.
Great Video 😊 I have 2 cats and 3 litter boxes..switched over to the pellets and will never ever go back to clay. Best decision. My bag of pellets lasted an entire year, and that’s with me cleaning out the boxes weekly. I also use the potty pads with my system and cut the pads in half and quarters, saving me more money which allows me to clean the boxes more frequently. My cats had no issues going from clay to pellets. I initially had 4 cats and they all did well with the pellets. 😻😻
There were a few times when the boat would drop people off and bus you to another location. My guess it was easier to get everyone off to see certain things like that cathedral and little town.
Enjoyed the story of the delayed flight but had to abandon viewing once you got to the river as the excessive camera movement was making me feel queasy.
Just wanted to say that we have seen over a hundred Viking Rhine River videos and I learned more from yours than all of them!!! Thank you. We are going on the same cruise July 31, 2024.
I love your video. I'm planning on putting black and gray brick on the back of my kitchen walls. Never thought of looking on Wayfair. Thanks for all your tips. Your brick wall looks amazing!
Hey guys the first 12 mins are about your mishaps during your flight to Basel, which is not part of the Rhine cruise. It should be cut and put in a different video.
Thanks for the suggestion! I ultimately decided to keep it in because this video is more to document our vacation as a couple than it is a viking review
Yes, Coral, for those of us who seldom travel to Europe, it's great to know "stuff" happens, and not to let it be a bad experience, but part t of the adventure!😢 Looking for parts 2 & 3?
Absolutely not! That's why my friend and I are flying in the day before. Booking thru Viking, they generally want to fly you into Basel morning of departure.
We did the Basel-Amsterdam trip in 2019 and have nothing but raves to offer for the trip. We did it in mid-September and I can't imagine a better time for it. Nice comfortable days, no heavy coats, rain on only one day, and that for a short period. I was 72 at the time and my wife was 70 and with two replaced knees and we don't remember ever being tired or hurried. The bus drivers were amazing, and worth all the tips they got from our group. The food was tremendous, the crew and staff were amazing. I don't understand all the complaining I'm seeing in this video. My advice to anyone is to just go with the flow and enjoy the whole experience. Our Viking cruise was one of the more relaxing weeks I've had in a long time.
We are doing this same cruise in June. I am so glad that you mentioned the time on your day in Basel. We won't land in Basel until 1pm so I think that we will most likely miss out on the walking tour (unless they do it later since they booked our flight!) but it appears that we will have time in Basel to look around...IF our flight gets there on time. lol Thanks for sharing.
I just did my hall in squares of brick they are foam with a texture that looks real when you see it from a distance like from the chair to the wall. I got a distressed style brick so I didn't have to worry about it matching perfectly. I also had an issue with the wall not being totally straight so I had to cut to follow the edge so the brick didn't go crooked. I didn't follow any instructions myself I just peeled and stuck and cut to fit LOL. It looks great and I am now doing my living room. It was less expensive than painting would be and I think it came out looking better than what my paint job would have. I got some glue you can inject into the areas with bubbles or places that aren't sticking as well, it came with a little injector needle that leaves no mark. your wall is great looking. I got all of my stuff from Wayfare and Temu for under 200 bucks for the whole job.
you both did a nice job capturing your time on the ship and shore. The Rhine and countryside looks very inviting! I'll continue to watch your other videos. Thanks for shariing!
?? Thank you for sharing! Two questions: Did you take all of the included excursions, or did you choose some of the optional ones? ( and which). What month were you there? I’m planning a Viking Rhine cruise now. Thanks!!
We did all the included ones except in cologne we skipped the included tour and did our own thing. And then we booked an additional evening excursion for the marksburg castle. We were there in October!
We did this cruise in Aug. 2023. You are right about the walking. And being on tour no time for bakery stops. I loved all the video as I only have pics. My husband agrees with you on the oatmeal raisin😂
My wife and I went on a Christmas Cruise on the Rhine this past Christmas. We started in Amsterdam and ended in Basel. We took a precruise extension. I'm glad we did. Thouroughly enjoyable cruise.
