In answer to the unasked question. Yes gael can be hit by his own lightning, and it does do damage. Saw it a few times in this vid. Take it from someone who spent an hour just avoiding the lightning and his jump flips for fun.
Whenever I try to do unlock screen, not even one second in, I have lost where my champ is and my screen starts moving everywhere, anxiety starts hitting then bam back to lock. Maybe cus I’m playing a jumpy champ like kat.
The thing I love about champ is that he has no true combos; his entire kit is so flexible to a point of anything can lead into anything. Wish more games would design bosses like this.
I love gundyr so much, favourite boss out of ds 1, 2 and 3. His shoulder check is the craziest move ever, dodging it gives a massive sense of accomplishment
NGL, I was stuck on the first boss literally for a year, trying every day. But when it finally clicked I blazed through the whole game in one day, what a time it was!
Your a brave man to start the this game on hard without experience. Its not for the faint of heart you will be challenged just for reference even after clearing it at normall mode hard is still a challenge after a back2back playthrough dont let the game frustrate you. Take your time to learn how to operate the character
I forgot to comment when I watched this vid, but I came back just to say I'm glad more people have given NG a try. 2 and 3 (Razor's Edge version) in particular are absolutely crazy and much smoother, but 1 is still really good. Hope you stick around for the whole series. Everyone and their mum knows Devil May Cry but Ninja Gaiden is the best imo. Edit: Oh yeah and I was going to ask, what's the background music you added? Particularly around 8:30
My best advice is: play some Starcraft. For my first 3 years of League I could only play with locked camera. Then moved on to play Starcraft 2 for a few months. When I came back, it just felt impossible to play with locked camera anymore.
I really hope fromsoft will bring back this simplified but more enjoyable combat design, sincs ER came out I see nothing else just broken builds and bleed warriors, despite the bosses are a lot faster and a lot more agressive in ER, the game gives endless tools to just bruteforce through them ignoring any kind of learning curve or supposed difficulty, ofc broken and oneshot builds were always a thing in souls games, but they weren’t as common as in ER
