Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by my channel. My name is Alejandro and I have been teaching piano for over 20 years. I started this channel 3 years ago to broaden my teaching skills as well as discover what people over the internet were interested in learning. It's been a very exciting process. I've met people from all across the world and I've managed to produce some very unique content that you won't be able to find anywhere else. Please browse my page, I'm sure that you will find something novel or useful to you.
Hey man content creators don't catch flight fast. Please keep doing this. As a self taught beginner this is not easy but it's definitely not hard. You could've made the bassy ending its own video and really slowed down the teaching. I think us adults need more theory in the midst of learning because right after the bassy ending (took me one day to learn that w arpeggio) you start talking about F sharp, something, something, C dominant. We don't know what that means so if you could take time (maybe at the end of the video like spark notes type thing) that'd really set us up to feel educated rather than over whelmed. For me starting at 0 it's a lot of mechanically following along. If I could get some information that'd be so amazing. Top class instruction from a person that loves this. In my opinion breaking this up into single videos with some theory and slowness would really show your care. That's just my opinion though I really love what you've made here either way.
Also wanted to add that doesn't make this a waste of this or that I want no shade implied. You can still make the bites and refer to this as an entire lesson. If you can follow the lesson that can equal mastery. Not my boat though I just got mad respect for your videos bro.
@@Esquivelhead Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. I don't consider what you wrote to be shade at all, and in fact, I found it to be very encouraging - consider me grateful! What I'm hearing is that you'd like more theory and explanation, to teach a little slower, and for me to chop the lessons up into smaller bites. I can definitely try to do those things. I've just finished recording a longer lesson on the blues, but beyond that I will try to implement your suggestions. Thank you bro bro - Big UP 🙌🏼
Rest assured, we all have one - our heartbeat! Beyond that, you can start tapping along to your favorite music. Once that becomes easy you can start to learn different drum patterns, and if it feels good you'll know you're on the right track 😊
Dear Alejandro, for me this was definitely not easy (beginner!), but very nice to start from. Took me three weeks to handle it somehow. Lots of good info in this tutorial. Looking forward to more lessons from you.
Hi Michael - Thanks so much for letting me know how you felt about this lesson series. I actually just received an email this week from another viewer who told me they thought this was more of an intermediate level, and not beginner. I appreciate you sticking it out, I'm taking notes, and when I start producing content again (hopefully soon!) I'm looking forward to making some adjustments. All my best to you!
Hello dear student :) I just looked over the sheet music and there isn't anything that truly requires the use of the pedal. I tend to use pedal when I want to connect two notes together smoothly but have "run out of a fingers." I guess I would suggest using it as a hack when you need to connect notes. If the music sounds too washy then you're probably using too much pedal. I hope that this helps you today
I'm so sorry that you didn't get what you were expecting from this video. You're not the only one who gave me this feedback, so in the future I will use the word "tutorial" only when I plan to give guided instruction on a specific song. My best to you 🙌🏼

I have been wanting to learn jazz and other styles for quite some time and I think I've found my teacher. This video is exactly what I need. I have to go to work now and I can't wait to get back to try this.
