Number 5 isn't an FSD! It's a Thermostat used to modulate temperature

Its a liquid expansion flame safety device! It is an FSD

They're two seperate devices he's talking about. The long liquid expansion device at the top isnt there to detect a flame, its there to modulate temperature! The bottom device on the burner is the FSD, there to sense the flame.

The top Phial heats up, the fluidexpands, and passes through the small capillary tube to the bellows setting the valve to bypass for low rate gas
