Lucky I have merfolk players at my lgs. They definitely get you the first time with those ward 1 and tidebinders. But once you learn to play around it, you have a better chance. But it's nice to see merfolk confuse opponents in comp magic
Did the u/w player "use" subtlety to remand the FoN? That would appear to be the way that played out, but obviously, that doesn't work. You dont make it to the finals of a tournament and not know that you can't use subtlety that way.
he says before days undoing resolves, im assuming he either forgot the subtlety gets shuffled thinking he could put it in grave or just wanted to exile a narset so it wasnt a bad draw after days undoing since it doesnt cost him anything to do when evoked. The FoN was already countered with spell pierce at this point.*correction* Not spell pierce but veil of summer.
I looked at the list that Mengu played (posted today). He netdecked Wu's tournament list. Looks like the entire interaction was Days Undoing - FoN - Veil of Summer...but I don't really understand what happened when Wu put Subtlety and Narset on the mat, though.
Whats is insane is that these 2 decks, which topped 8 in barcelona…are now available on arena minus 1-2 cards each… i dont think domain is missing anything maindeck and shadow is missing regent and dress down…but it has treasure cruise..
My friend mentioned that azrious control is almost no longer considered a viable deck in today's modern meta. This saddens me greatly as a triditional control enthusiast. This match further reinforces the dwindling prominence of control decks in my aspect, how upset. Will mh3 bring me any surprise?
