Put some water on it, soak it for 10-15 minutes in water then start sharpening. As a knife sharpener this hurts me a lot. It’s not cheap either did you not watch the video it showed on how to use it. It’s called a whetstone btw, your really doing it wrong
You can hear straight off that blade is not as sharp as it could be from the sound it makes in cutting the paper. Also, and this goes for all your other knife demo videos like this one, why do scrape your blade on the cutting board? If you were wanting to just demonstrate, just do so without scraping it on the cutting board! That is not great for that edge, especially considering it is being scraped at around a 80° angle which is what you would do if you were wanting to dull it. You put such high effort into advertising and making things look nice, so why do you go and do that Dalstrong. Sincerely, JS
Cheap handle, fake Damascus, and fake blade etch, not actually San Mai, and the edge chips WAY too easily. These should be at most half the price. Also, nowhere on Aichi Steel's website is there an indication of V12 steel existing.
