Still doing a bit of.. Maya,Nuke, Aftereffects and game dev. Tutorials and more
@@kurgandk No worries, as you can see I've been quite busy myself and am just now replying :). I would like to simulate a pile of rice, then convert the final simulation to a static mesh. Thanks!
Do enjoy watching your tutorials, easy to follow, but I need to output this kind of model to Redshift! I am having no luck. I watched your silent one and combined the two and felt I got close, but think I'm missing on step... Please let me know if you have a solution...
thanks for the quick tut! maya 2023,renderman 24 you have to put voxel_fog_density in pxrPrimVar + choose the same voxel_fog_density in OpenVDBVisualizeShape - VDBGridName 😚🤯🧐. now you can tune all settings and see standardExplosion.vdb in renderView..
these files were part of Maya Live materials (many years ago) I dont think I can publish them. In any case get any sort of moving camera video (I have used drone clips from vimeo before)
I have a small question. How do I set it up to make the caustics interact with volumes. I tried damn near everything and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. And is there a way to set it up to work with lama materials?
@@kurgandk hi. Thank you for the reply. I cannot remember what I was talking about. I go from a project to project in a week and it all gets jumbled up in my head.
Can you redo this tutorial in blender 2.9? I don't know how to change the subdivision axis and height in 2.9, i have googled it and now I'm stuck. thank you for your time!

Since I only got the material with the product back then I dont think I can leagally share it sorry. But theres lots af similar sequences online, HollyWood Cameraworks has some noce sequences www.hollywoodcamerawork.com/tracking-plates.html , you can also check out my other turorial serie (after the initial intro I move on to another clip): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y5Ften93rcA.html
ill do the full project in a series of videos, I hope Ill be able to do video #2 tonight. Where I matchmove the monestary video, pull it into maya and create some mockup landscape geometry to match.

To install the Live Link plugin Download the mayalink plugin. Extract the file and then copy the com.mayalink.autodesk directory to: Windows: ..\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions To set up a link Open both Maya and Adobe® After Effects® . In After Effects, go to Window > Extensions > Autodesk Maya Live Link. In Maya, go to File > Adobe® After Effects® Live Link. Click Link All to link all compatible scene elements to After Effects, or middle-drag specific elements from the Outliner into the Specific objects field and then click Link Specified. After Effects loads the Maya scene into its current composition. Further changes to the Maya scene will automatically update in After Effects unless the link is broken.
