My joke is the Principal should say "Gasoline not included" instead of "Parking not included." The person who choreographed this is a former performer and choreographer for other shows. She's in the devil costume in the '06 and '07 HalloWeekends Monsters Rock! videos.

I didn't get to see Come See About Me but I know Trent loved that one too. I suggested that he do his top ten shows of Cedar Point ranking video and he said he may just do that in the offseason. I have really been impressed with the Live E the last several seasons, not to mention what they have going this year with Boardwalk Nights. However, it is disappointing that Midnight Syndicate will not be back for HalloWeekends.

I don't know when they do the other set. I've only recorded and seen the 5:30. I've only been able to see them twice without a camera just because of my schedule and they're off (dark is what they call it) on Thu. I'm there once a week depending on the weather or other stuff I wanted to tape. One of the performers was out at 5:30 yesterday. I imagine they do the "love-centric" set at 2, 4 or 6:30. And this one at 3, 5:30 and 7:30. I'll try t do it. I like to be complete. And it's always a good show each season. Thanx for watching!

It's also fun seeing performers play different characters during HalloWeekends. I can picture the regular Principal doing her Purple Witch cackle when they do the He-Man vs Skeletor bit. When a show starts late "due to technical difficulties" PSA outside the door, I think they had to rehearse it since it's not something they do every day depending on who's out, unless it's the understudy Principal. I put her in two other videos, one to document a full show, the other to play around with the camera, which the zoomed-in clip that's in this video is from, I liked seeing 'Shriek' on the card and his costume is rather elaborate. I should have recorded the announcement outside the theatre. When I do edits like this, there's things that I leave out that are cool in and of themselves but don't fit when I watch it fwiw. These are fun to do once in awhile like '23 Shrieks, '08 Backstage & Drum Cams, '22 & '23 All Four Wake the Dead Murders, '23 Summerbration Three POV's in one, and '21 HalloWeekends Banished Backstory. I wouldn't have done this video if it weren't for the P.A. Announcements, set design & video boards. The first P.A. I had to try four times since it's noisy when people are walking in, and the handicap scooters would be beeping backwards lol As a bonus though, my friend and long-time show-goer & Live E! supporter since 1989 is on his scooter entering in one of the clips, when they name drop the Live E! supervisor's name who he knows well. In the Understudy Principal wide shot video, I got up and moved from the right to the left side after the opener, since a tall audience member was sitting in his scooter. (I hurt my leg a few weeks ago and could barely walk, so I can sort of appreciate what they must go through). To that tangental point (I like to go off on tangents as we know!), I got you "photo-bombing" the Boardwalk Nights Hand Balancing Duo act on the float hahah You walk past it (not Vlogging!) towards the Grand Pavilion, then walk past it at the end of the show with a drink your hand. I would have been disappointed if you didn't! I have a ton of videos to do, I'm uploading each show/act separately, I'll alert you to that one. (I have a fun clip after the first parade, they couldn't turn the Antique car so they had to lift the front bumper up lol). It reminds me of when people used to walk in front of a Red Garter show, even when the singers were on the floor in front of the stage, to get to the restrooms in the front left corner. They closed them because they couldn't make them ADA accessible. (there's always been bigger ones in the outside). They just completely ignored the loud singing & dancing. I also got you walking past (not in front of) the Swing Dance float waving to them before the performance (The Rally Dancers can reeally swing dance, and the musicians can show us what else they can do to your point of being versatile) lt was great weather for the two Boardwalk Nights I've been to (it does backlight some shots and the entire Strike Up the Band show). CP did a good job combining the repurposed parade floats, a night stage show and the previous beach Cedar Point Nights. It's interesting how much they used video boards in Class of '99 like they did on the main stage night shows. We've come to expect high-quality productions all of the shows.

yes the night shows on this stage have been high-quality productions. In place of the big stage night show, some of the performers from other shows are in the 2024 Boardwalk Nights event by Wild Mouse roller coaster, Giant Wheel, WindSeeker, and Grand Pavilion restaurant. It uses the 150 Spectacular parade floats in a mini parade and as stages. Those videos will be up this week.

Yes I look forward to The Swell Tones harmonies each season, Tony! They sound great. Always fun to record the positive energy up close : ) A bonus the sun was great and Corkscrew running. The hula-hoops were a fun summer prop. The checkered border they've had the past couple seasons was an effective solution. I look forward to hearing them perform more this season : )

​@@amusement420 Except he didn’t “accelerate” - that was a low-speed chase! (And it was Al Cowlings driving.) He apparently might’ve been driving around recklessly right after the murders, trying to get back to his house quickly, and without his car’s lights on.

@@erickleefeld4883 yeah not mean to be taken literally. There's a video on RU-vid where Kato talks to the lady who saw him driving over curb after the murders. She even wrote down his license plate.

@@amusement420 Yeah, I watched that one. The prosecution messed up so much about this case, to not use her even despite some issues. Her eyewitness account was still good, including supplying the license plate to police BEFORE the Bronco chase, when it would’ve been more publicly known. Then there was the whole problem of a cop who pled the 5th on the witness stand about whether he planted evidence in the case. What else can a jury do but acquit after hearing that? (And what’s the point of planting evidence, if you’re not also willing to commit perjury about it?)

@@erickleefeld4883 yeah she would have been easy enough to explain selling the story just the way she did in the interview if Marcia Clark knew what she was doing. Marcia's making a lot of money now for someone who blew the Trial of the century. It's like Marcia hated her own witnesses and even ones that weren't put on. And making Kato a hostile witness. Judge Ito didn't take control of his court room. He let the defense get away with murder. Literally. There's more to the Mark Furhman story. I read his book a long time ago. Basically he had to plead the 5th because Marcia and other cops were throwing him under the bus. My whole argument against that and the loads of EDTA on the socks at Rockingham was none of that was at the actual crime scene. There was enough to prove untainted DNA right there. Fascinating after all these years.

Oh ok..but even if I had a season pass I wouldn't travel cross country just to go on 1 ride. Makes more sense for locals.

@@djavatar68 It was a nice event even riding it once. They handled it very efficiently. They gave you a ticket when you walked in for a time slot 4-5pm, 6-7 etc. It was open 4-10pm. I'll upload videos. My ride at 4:45 was very rough side-to-side. I think because the wheels are so big so smaller wheels a re 'tighter' to the track imho if you see what I mean. The mom next to me said it was rough. The launch was 20mph slower than Dragster. and the rollback is 'cute' by that I mean it doesn't go up that high and it's slow. I've had a true rollback on TTD which means it stalled for 3 seconds at the top then slowly moved backwards and picked up speed. It felt like my back was going thru the seat you feel gravity a lot more. Going backwards on TT2 was more like Wicked Twister. tTe rear tower didn't seem as high as it looks to me but it was high and it stalls for a bit. It picks up a lot of speed for a long stretch forward but that's where it was rough. The restrains and seats are comfortable. Big lap bars to hold on if you want to. I didn't experience any air time out of my seat. The lap bars are tight. 5th row inside seat. The lockers were free. Otherwise the'll probably be $2 for 4 hrs or $10 all day and you can move to different lockers thru the park.

It's the first show I saw at Cedar Point. I was very impressed. I still know his friend David who performed The Tell-Tale Heart.

It was fun to record! Glad you found it. The Black Cat is difficult to pull off. The authentic costume looked great. The small Glassblowing Theatre was a perfect venue for a HalloWeekends show. ^v^

yes I still know the band leader and guitar player. The band leader 'Zombo' (named after a character in The Munsters' TV show) has been in many bands, has DJ'd events and on the radio and been an emcee at the Pittsburgh Steel City Con which is basically Comic Con. John Cleese of Monty Python fame really liked him. Zombo's currently the leader of The Polkamaniacs. All of past & present the info on zomboco.com

yep people forget the goat of Super Bowl III the you could say aging Earl Morall coached by the Colts Don Shula (in The Orange Bowl and what was the Dolphins sideline of all places) led them most of the way. Somewhat ironically he was pulled for Griese in this game. And also this was a week after the Immaculate Reception. That's why there could be a couple asterisks how impressive the season was. They won close games also.

@@JensenRiley96 yeah the voice and the one in the promo at the beginning is that performer's. She's in a video compilation "Best of Natalie Kings Island Amusement Park Live Shows | amusement420". It's fun seeing most of that cast in a Totally 80's summer show on that stage and rotating cast in Hot Island Rhythms on the bandstand then in a serious Halloween show on the same stage. Same at Cedar Point. Makeup and wigs can fool you. "Dead Awakening" may be a play on words of a musical "Spring Awakening" but other than sexual overtones I don't think it has much to do with it. Some of these performers returned in "HOT BLOODED First Show Long-Running Classic Kings Island Halloween Haunt 2009 | amusement420" that replaced this show. In that show the only ones left are girls. The two female leads sing the love song portion of the Hot Blooded song to each other. I don't know how many people picked up on that. (In that particular video the girlfriend and the male vampire are brother & sister long-time Kings Island performers so they kept them apart for some of the racy things. She ended up marrying the male vampire performer who was in following seasons. They both performed at Cedar Point.)

@@amusement420 I LOVED Hot Blooded! One of the lead performers who played “the girlfriend” in the last year it ran was the choreographer for a show I danced in 2020! I’ve been curious about the licensing of Hot Blooded, do you know who wrote it/ who would have the rights to it? Was it Scott Hayward?

​@@JensenRiley96 Sometimes I know who writes the shows. This one I didn't since Cedar Point is my home park. I happened to be down near KI in 2008 and enjoyed recording the performances. 2009 Hot Blooded I drove down to record the inaugural show. Haven't been back since. Shows can be written in-house or a production company that specializes in amusement & theme parks such as D&G Entertainment, Windish Music, All Wheels Sports, Haut-Vol etc. Most often in combination with the park's in-house management & production crew. The person who wrote shows at CP in-house up til 2008 (I recorded backstage that night) now writes a lot of them for some Cedar Fair parks as a subcontractor. I know people from All Wheels Sports who perform in Off the Rails and NyteWalkers on Showplace stage. They were at CP for a long time. And in the past some of them from CP were Semi finalists on America's Got Talent. As far as "rights" to an amusement park show. I don't know. I've been recording and uploading the ones I want to since 2006 that don't have a pre-show PSA that announces no recording. Usually that's because it's a dark theatre they don't want phones distracting people. Or CP's Rock Band Live 2010 was an outside production. but Mom's whose kids were in the audience participation section still recorded it and one uploaded part of it lol I knew the head usher but she didn't want it recorded. CP HalloWeekends Midnight Syndicate couldn't be recorded in the past when they were in a theatre because they didn't want bootleg videos sold. Well now they were outdoors with Haut-Vol performers written by Cedar Point so they can't do anything about that. Their music supports the cirque show and promoted their new album though. These days so many people have phones, good luck policing "Do not record". I still use a camcorder. Some of the performers and band members with phones on tripods or their friends & family record their own videos toward the end of the season. Sometimes they upload them other times they don't. Mine still get more views lol But really with as many people who see shows live it's not many views. All Wheels Sports performers use GoPros on their helmets they post on facebook for their own amusement . I upload because I looked for shows on RU-vid in 2005 and didn't find any. I had a $2k Sony so did it myself. I took a break from 2010-2015.
