Come join our family for fun days out and more. We will look at rides, queues, food and top tips. We make our days fun and some times go with a budget. Our goal is to share ideas and happiness with you. Hope you enjoy our videos.
Hi. Thanks for watching. Ferry crossing is about and hour and half. It’s cheaper than the Leshuttle. Depends on prices at the time but on that trip it was about £100 difference. It was also nice to get out of the car and stretch legs, get something to eat etc. Ferry is an hour slower. This was our first trip and much easier than we thought. 👍
@fastpassfour2125 ah OK. It's a brilliant video, exactly what I wanted to watch as we're going next year but I was debating going on the ferry. I will have a look at price differences as we're taking our caravan too. Thanks
We have annual passes and have done Merseyside to DLP 4 times in the last 12 mths. I recommend going the long way round via A26/A4 via Reims. It adds 20 mins/30 miles onto journey but it’s so much easier and zero traffic compared to A1/A104
Hi thank you. Lots has been going on. Olly has been playing guitar and has a RU-vid channel doing exceptionally well called ‘Guitar Olly’ and Heather has gone to work in Disneyland Paris. She has just started her own RU-vid called ‘Disney with Heather’. Now we are getting back into things we will be posting more videos. Thank you for watching - its so lovely to see nice comments ⭐️
Cracking Premier Inn ... I stay there fairly often. Ask for a room that ends in '62' if you want a view up towards Hatton Cross where the planes fly in low and then land
Thank you Wild Willows 😊. We have been so busy with work and Heather in ballet college. We have a lot of catching up to do 😁, and a Drayton Manor video to post too. Such a fun day in Blackpool - and we forgot how much there is to do xx
@@AtractionsMayhem1234 we also tried to do a tiktok for one of our videos - we failed 🤣🤣 we haven’t a clue how to do tiktok 🤣🤣 we’ll get there eventually 😂
Love Lacock. As you can probably imagine it's particularly nice at Christmas. Lacock House is so beautiful to visit when all decorated inside for Christmas.
We took our 2 year old boy just around the same time, he loved it but we were with friends and other kids and were a bit too distracted to bother with the app - wish we had now! He told us the other day he wanted to see the "big gruffalo in the cage" again, so we looked on RU-vid and found your video. Now it's one of his favourites, will probably get your views up nicely.
What a lovely comment - thank you so much. Its a lovely day out and definitely worth doing again. The cafe has nice food options too. Next time we would take paper and crayons to do rubbings of the gruffalo animal plaques. Also I have seen a few nature spotter books online for children which I’m sure would be great somewhere like Delemere, and a bag to collect nature things to craft at home. It’s a shame the Gruffalo is behind such a large cage - hopefully they can change this to a more appealing fence so better photo opportunities can be taken. 🌳xx
That looks like a nice room, especially if you have an an overnight layover. In 2017 we flew Virgin to Heathrow and then SAS to Sweden, that was a long long day! We should have just stayed at one of the nearby hotels.
Thank you, yes the room was lovely and the whole hotel. We liked the large lobby/reception area especially with the Costa Coffee. Nice to wander around and Heather likes to be Miss independent which is great for her to pop and get her frappechino fix on her own🤣 We would definitely stay there again. Your travelling sounded a long day bless you. Staying at a nearby hotel is a good idea - besides…. You can’t beat a hotel buffet breakfast 🥞 🍳😁
Thank you so much. We try to always have a positive approach to everything we do and have lots of fun. I think I’m getting braver with rides as I get older 🤣
Hi guys, we haven’t ridden runaway mine train for ages will have to do it on our next visit. You done really well with the rides. Well racing dinosaurs isn’t something you see everyday at AT 😂 We really miss the old flume. we are back in a few weeks for Oktoberfest and really looking forward to it. Looks like a great day, really enjoyed watching 🧡
Thank you for your lovely comment. We are really interested in Oktoberfest. Is this the German style event with food stands? And I presume this is different to scarefest? Be lovely to meet you guys one day 😊
@@fastpassfour2125 yes it’s the German event looked really good last year! I think it’s on for 4 weeks then scarefest starts after that. Yea would be lovely to meet you 😀
Galacatica and nemsis look like fun. The Ball spinner looks like a good time too. So neat to have an aquarium in the park. We have a local Six Flags that has dolphins, penguins, seals and other aquatic life. Great views from atop the towers and you are all brave riding a water ride so late in the day :).
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. The aquarium is brilliant as it’s by Wicker Man (a large coaster. If little ones don’t ride Wicker Man it’s nice that they have an alternative thing to do. And yes the view is lovely. It’s not open all the time so when it is it’s great to appreciate it. So cool that you are near Six Flags and lovely that you have cool animals. It nice for all the family then, even if you don’t do rides. 🎢🐬
I love aviation and it is so sad to see the 747 go. I was fortunate enough to fly Virgin Atlantic from San Francisco to London on the second story. You can sleep in on just outside Arlanda airport in Stockholm! Like the idea but after being in a jet for 13-15 hours, I don't feel like spending the night in one! #53!
Oh my word I have been looking up Arlanda airport sleeping in 747 hotel. It looks amazing. Absolutely fantastic - even breakfast and check in desk. This may have to go on my Bucket list ✈️🛏🥞
Thanks Robb. We were very lucky with the weather and had a great family day out with friends. So glad we got everything done that we wanted for the boys. They had a blast (as you could see!).
Thank you Robb. We all really enjoyed the chilled walk through the woods and the Gruffalo trail. The app was very good and did all the recording for us to add to our video!
We have a gruffalo trail in hamsterley forest, Kellan use to love bringing them to life on my phone. Love that the cafe is dog friendly. The tree top adventure looks like a lot of fun. Looks like a great day out. 🧡😀
@@fastpassfour2125 probably around 2008 when we last visited. We were winners of a Granada Reports competition and the prize included general admission including to the indoor water park and a nights stay in one of the themed hotels and some Alton Towers spending money!
Hi guys, You did really well for rides! Looks like you had a great day. We can’t wait to get back in a few weeks. Looks like Oliver is a rerider like our Kellan. Great video. 🧡🎢
Thank you. We had a great day. Not sure Roller Disco is the best one to re-ride as it made me feel green but Oliver loved it! Really appreciate your comment and feedback as we love watching your Vlogs!
Where did you go from? We had a look and price quite reasonable for Disney. We are on Day 2 near the end. My parents love watching you too. Lucas is going to go far on you tube. He has a lovely personality and is naturally funny.
@@fastpassfour2125 we went from Southampton. It was a trek down but worth it. Thank you so much. It was a big thing for lucas to do. A lot different from vlogging theme parks. I am very proud of him.
When I first took the kids to the USA we flew on a BA 747 to JFK, this could have been that very plane! My two boys would have been 11 and 7, and at the end of the flight a man who was seated next to them tapped my arm and complimented me on how well they had behaved throughout the flight, which I thought was nice! Sad to see the planes ending up like this, especially as they still look brand new, the 747 is such an iconic marvel. Felt the same way with Concorde.
Good to hear from you Rob. They are iconic planes and this unfortunately marks the end of an era (just like Concorde). We loved flying on 747’s to the US. Won’t be the same now.
@@fastpassfour2125 Agreed. We were fortunate enough to visit the Boeing plant in Everett, WA back in 2016. Amazing huge place. I recall they were still processing orders for the 747 but there were many more for the 787 Dreamliner.
Useful tips at the end and I'm glad the weather got better! Great hoodie there Heather. Simon made me laugh when came away from the ride soaked, and it happened AFTER the ride ended, and Oliver beside him in his hoodie reminded me of Elliott from the movie E.T.!! Keep the videos coming, you are a lovely family and what you are doing is fantastic!
Heathers hoodie is what Sarah has wanted for so long - but Heather claimed it first with her friend 🤣. And yes Olly is like Elliot with his hood. We actually have a photo of Olly is the famous red Elliot hoody on the bike with ET in Universal. We had to edit the video as he wasn’t happy being so wet bless him. Once in the car he had warm dry clothing and a McDonald’s for tea for all was fine then 😉
@@fastpassfour2125 buying hoodies from places you have visited is great, obviously there are practical in that you wear them and keep you warm, they tell people where you have visited, and it’s a reminder of the vacation every time you wear it, and they tend to last a long time,. Top tip, when you buy for the kids get ione a couple of sizes too big so they can grow into it and keep it for longer because a good quality hoodie can last years. Before moving here we took our vacations to various parts of N America and the kids still have their hoodies and T shirts from 2010 we bought in places including West Point (military acedemy), Boston, California, NY, Vancouver. Also liked to collect the Hard Rock Cafe T shirts. I say kids, they are now 22 and 18, the oldest is married but we all cherish the memories of our vacations, they are so important.
That’s a good idea getting next size up. We love souvenirs and hoodies are def a great way to show off your adventures. I wanted a Stealth hoody which looked great but I wish they would have ride statistics on to show how brave you have been.
@@fastpassfour2125 If you like Stealth you will love Kingda Ka at Great Adventure, New Jersey. It’s actually twice the height as Stealth and probably launches you at a similar speed. Go on RU-vid, lots of POV vids, it was so good we visited the park twice. Obviously rode it AND bought the obligatory T shirt!
@@robbflynn4325 yes I’ve seen Kingda Ka on RU-vid. Looks amazing, and if I went on it I would be wearing the T-shirt everyday. It makes Stealth look tiny. Not sure if I’d fancy a roll back on it though 🤣
Thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you haven’t already 😉 The room was clean and comfortable. Food was good and it was ideal for Thorpe Park. Really appreciate you taking time to comment! Thanks.
29 pounds, excellent value. When I lived in the UK we used to seek out these cheap rooms, especially the ones at Travelodge, although as you probably know the quality at Travelodge can fluctuate, whereas Premier Inn is a safer bet. An airport view would have been a bonus, I'm definitely one for plane spotting with my binoculars. I recall a couple of years ago staying at the Renaissance Hotel near O'Hare in Chicago, I spent some of my time watching the planes coming in to land, and with the Flight Tracker app on my phone I had the added bonus of seeing where they had flown from!
It was a nice hotel and good value. WiFi wasn’t great but we can live with that. Airport view would have been a bonus but would have depressed us that we are not going on one soon! Thanks for watching!
Thank you, I love flight tracker too. We did ask for a runway view several days before but when we checked in at 6.30pm they had been taken. Completely understandable. Raddison Blu at Manchester Airport has incredible views. It’s costly but as a one off it’s worth it. Check in early so you can watch from your room window for hours with a coffee ☕️🪟🛫 . I agree Premier inn is always a good choice and we have found them to always be clean, and yes Travel Lodge standards can vary. We were unfortunate to stay in one not so clean a few years ago. Thank you for your lovely comments.
@@fastpassfour2125 You're welcome! Yeah I think I sat there watching the planes with a coffee in the morning and a beer in the evening! I once recall staying in a Travelodge near East Midlands airport the night before our Christmas Market trip to Berlin in December 2008 and there was a huge hole in one of the walls of the room, it's as if someone had kicked or punched it, you think they would have tried to patch it up, but since it cost only 19.99 and we were only staying one night it was no biggie!
@@fastpassfour2125 My American wife and I booked a trip to the UK to travel in May last year but had to cancel because of Covid. I have a US and UK passport so I am able to travel but don't intend to do it alone. Hoping things will back to normal very soon!
Travelodge can be hit or Miss. premier inns are normally pretty good. Don’t recall having a bad room and stayed in loads. Travelodge with an airport view… you’d accept a below standard room! 😁
Loved this, looks like a great day even if the weather wasn’t the best. I once dislocated my shoulder on swarm because they fastened the harness to tight🙈 didn’t stop me going on it last week.
Thank you - oh my gosh I hope your shoulder was ok. The harness was very tight, probably the tightest harness I’ve ever had on a ride. An excellent ride though for sure.
Great video its a shame about the weather. Last time we went we got separated in the black mirror is is so disorientating 😅. Look forward to your next video 😊
Cool video. We always love getting a few of these on each trip but never noticed they had books to organize them. Will have to keep an eye out for those on our next trip.
Definitely a good idea to get a book to keep them safe. Thank you for your comment. Watch this space for more videos… hopefully doing a pin trading one next!
You obviously love theme parks! I'm sure you will be planning a trip again to the US. Instead of Florida I would encourage you to visit New Jersey, yes I said New Jersey! Lots of great resorts, Atlantic City, Wildwood with it's famous boardwalk, and a place we have just returned from, beautiful Cape May. New Jersey is full of fabulous beaches and the weather right now is warm and sunny. Six Flags Great Adventure near Jackson, is a great place to spend a day, fabulous rides, including the insane Kingda Ka! You could also plan a couple of nights stay in NYC, or just go up there for the day, lots of stuff to do there and the kids will love Coney Island. Like us you could take the Cape May/Lewes ferry over to Delaware and visit Rehoboth Beach or venture down further to Ocean City, again a great place for the kids. Oh and there are loads of fantastic shopping outlets all over New Jersey! I know you love Florida, so do I, but the US offers so much more! BTW I used to live in Congleton, are you guys near there? PS Top tip. If you fly into this part of the US try and get a flight into Philadelphia or Dulles in DC, you may pay a little more but the immigration lines are much shorter than JFK and access is so much easier!
Wow! Thanks Robb. Loads of good stuff here. We have been looking at California for a possible next trip but may need to rethink now! Yes not far from Congleton. Really appreciate your comments and top tips. The homeland security can be a nightmare sometimes! Taken nearly 3 hours before now in Orlando!
Thank you so much - once everything is back to normal Disney is a great holiday. We’ve just watched your Athos fair again - honestly you two are brilliant and we couldn’t stop laughing at hook a duck 😆
@@fastpassfour2125 thank you so much for watching. It is great to be able to take the go pro on the rides. It was a fantastic fair. We both really enjoyed it.
