Really unimpressed and disturbed about the unethical treatment and sexualization of children. It was normalized as was the blurring professional boundaries and will keep distinguishing myself from those things i strongly stand against and the adults involved cant get themselves out of
I guess if i had a sense of how unethical and illegal behavior was addressed, i wouldn't have to think about it or write my concerns to separate myself from that.
The past decade, a number of non psychs were able to access Info and created chaos. That needs to be rectified and we need to adhere strictly to ethics. SORRY!
Just a suggestion. Maybe rename this video to include “pediatric “ because I went through about 2/3 of this video to see how to apply telehealth to adult populations.
I've got dyspraxia and ASD. I didn't walk until I was 3.5 years old. I was successful in business and retired at 59. Every day I know I'm going to spill something, knock something over, break something and/or get hurt. I just have to laugh at it and go on.
thank you so much for what you do!!! years ago i went in for a assessment for autism and got misdiagnosed for schzoid as a female at 35. i felt it was wrong and the clincian did say she saw autism(some) in me. but the result was schzoid with lots of hurtful comments. I still felt austistic so i was searching for another one. i found a lady in my area that accepts my insurance, and she told me she felt the ados is more for children. she does the migdas. i quickly reasearched it and found all i could about it. when my assessment came and than the feedback she found : i have autism, adhd, intellectual disability, launguage disorder, eating disorder, anxiety, substance abuse(alchoul). i am happy but surprised with all my diagnosis. i love the migdas and i hope i can get a book about how to diagnosis(not professionally, i just really like it). one of my interest came autism since i learned about it two years ago.
Would this test be an accurate reflection of an older nonverbal child with very low functioning? Or would it be more accurate to provide such a child (for example, say, an 8 yr old nonverbal child that functions like an 18 month old) with out of level testing, say giving them the infant toddler version of the test?
Does the case study of "Lucy" seem a little more like autism than the other two? Not saying the DMDD diagnosis is wrong, just wondering if anyone else saw what I did.
This is relevant and what I have been trying to express about my daughter for over a decade! SHe has Down Syndrome AND Autism. Still need this backed up by formal evaluation to get services and support at school, My daughter is now 17, so much time has been wasted and my daughter has extreme mental health issues due to frustration and anxiety.
Hello I am a student researcher and we are really in need of the SACQ kit and we can't afford it because we do not have enough money. I hope that you may take this into consideration thank you❤

1:37:37 I do that.. but not always.. I only seem to do it with food, cuttlery, fidget toys.. but I only do it to calm my brain when theres nothing else to do..
oh ok thats nice that you don’t score.. its a story of the person or child.. so even though a person may not have autism they also help with putting you on the path that will give you an understanding of the child or adult
Did you know that in some autistic people there’s a bit of neuro-typical thinking in there? I find that most people with autism are different and very much complicated but also not so complicated.. I say that because I find that my brain sees the world with minimal social umm.. social thinking? And think literally.. ..hmm my brain short circuited (it glitched) which means I lost my chain of thought.. and I have no idea what the point of the conversation was.. I don’t know why it does that
Oh yeah.. when you talked about “emotional regulation” and how umm did you say it was a problem? I can’t remember (I have really poor working memory). I’m sorry I forgot what I was going to say..
When you talk about “strengths and differences” I really liked that but I’m not sure why but my brain for some reason likes the negatives.. which I think maybe that’s just because I like to focus on what could go wrong or prepare for the worst scenario.. I think that’s what it is
