Franklin University Switzerland is an American, four-year liberal arts institution located in Lugano, Switzerland.
Franklin places extraordinary emphasis on cross-cultural perspectives, an emphasis designed to affect the direction and meaning of a student's college experience, life and career. A commitment to courses of study that are international in perspective and cross-cultural in content has been the cornerstone of our educational mission since our founding in 1969. In fact, we classify this need as the international imperative in education.
Formerly known as Franklin College Switzerland, Franklin University Switzerland was fully accredited as a university institution by the Swiss University Conference in April 2013. Adding the Swiss accreditation to the U.S. accreditation by the Middle States Association Commission on Higher Education obtained in 1975 and reconfirmed most recently in 2010, Franklin officially changed its name in 2014 to reflect its new status.
Very interesting video showing the high value in being a student at Franklin. So have high expectations for my daughter who was just accepted by the school.
Yes! This is a value I gained as a student, and why I want to be a professor. I appreciated the professors that would take time after class to discuss my academics and try to get to know me as a person. That is something I want to do for my students as well. Thank you for sharing this!
The absolute best educational experience of my youth, and a place very close to my heart. I cannot recommend it more for anyone who aspires to immerse him/herself in a global culture and acquire a truly international education in an inspiring and beautiful environment. The academic travel alone was priceless.
what an absolutely glorious video. i dream of, reflect and reminisce through my memories of four years at Franklin every single day. i miss it so much. im so excited to come visit when the new building is finished. love, erika class of 2018 ♥
As a student of this master's degree, I find it a unique opportunity to learn how to participate and contribute to solving the issue of climate change in an active way. It is not easy to deal with climate change, but activating is much more important. Working full time I can see the possibilities that this master's degree offers. A lot of feedback that I can apply in my professional life. Learning from good examples is essential.
