@@pizzaxavi my only concern is the inevitable stick drift . Seems like theirs technology combating this but I'm not sure it's present in this or the instinct. Can I just change the thumbstick and it go away will I need to send it in?
The fact this uses the PlayStation/Straight analog position is what's selling it to me, I primarily use the Dpad for most of my games, so this configuration has become my favourite. I appreciate the review, out of all the controllers for my PC, this is the one that's calling my attention the most... The other issue I have is the "SAX" buttons, their position is outright stupid. If they could add them like Razer adds some extra buttons around the triggers, this controller will up some points.
Honestly I was into it for the same reasons, I prefer the straight analog position. I thought that the sax buttons were placed in a weird spot before actually getting some hands on time with the controller. I never accidentally hit them (probably did like 2-3 times) but not as intrusive as they seem. I honestly really enjoy the location of them now but with that being said I never tried any of the Razer controller button layout
Lmfao that was my feelings coming from my broken Elite series 2 which left bumper would activate whenever it wanted to 🥲 I’m still happy with my purchase. The Envision has done me only good so far.
Last scuff had was Vantage 1 to just non stop vibrate no function at all Warranty means nothing to them bc they said we don't support that Vantage 1 anymore even though still under warranty. Last scuff ever wanted to touch but this being the only damn Controller with SAX buttons which have become a 100% must need now. No console controller with then now I don't get it but looking into this 1 despite all complaints on the Icue w.e. program
Honestly man I feel you big time, the vantage 1 is the only other Scuf controller I ever used and it was the intro to sax buttons but dude seriously, so hard to not have them now it feels like a must. Despite all the complaints the internet through out there the controller has treated me very well. I ain’t sponsored by Scuf or anything so I owe them no kind words. The controller is nice; when I first got it iCue was kinda buggy but now it have zero complaints; it doesn’t close out on me or anything like that. All my programming works for keybinds and the build quality for my controller has been holding up. Some people have issues with triggers not working or drift. I can’t speak to those issues luckily but just like you man I took that risk and was happy with my purchase.
@@pizzaxavi when did this come out? I'm wondering if I should wait for maybe envision 2 if ever one. Don't wana get this then something happen in a year. Then tell me can't fix because they don't support / have parts anymore. (Because they moved to next new one.) It's troubling when even under warranty most likely won't cover it after a year or new controller they make comes. Trying envision 2 pro at best buy it felt better than any controller ever. Not hard to push back buttons with pinky like was with Xbox elite controller for Xbox 1. Thank you though really need some true honest feedback especially from non Scuff fans like me thanks to their warranty issue. Never had issue with Vantage 1 never dropped it. Then 1 day plug in non stops vibrates. Can't do anything about it. Might wait till next yr when the rtx 5090 comes so can get a custom PC from Origin when they release n maybe by then be envision 2. Or might just get now to play on wifes laptop but only rtx 2080
Dang man that’s rough; seems like the comments are kinda split. Luckily in my case I haven’t had any mechanical issues. Only thing is the detail on the grips on the back of the controller is eating away from use a little. Also my white faceplate is starting to brown slightly from the oils on my hands after about 3 months of use.
The Sheeps already had that rolling move in the base game , for sure I remember fighting the deathbird by war masters shack I believe and the sheep kept doing that dumbass roll move attacking me
Sorry didn’t reply earlier! Idky the hardware mapping wouldn’t be showing but I would start with the triggers deadzone to be adjusted to zero and then set them to zero in whatever game your playing as well. I typically set my triggers to zero in the in game settings if it allows me and then I dial it in with the icue settings till they feel responsive.
@@pizzaxavi I just risked it for the biscuit and everything turned out fine no errors no bugs I guess it was just a tool from iCUE. I was on version 0.8.37 when I first got my controller last Saturday was worried of updating the the latest firmware from all the negative posts I seen but felt more confident after watching your video haha but honestly my controller feels way more responsive
@@fatalfox13 Heck yeah man, glad it worked out well for you too. I felt the same way when buying mine so I’m glad my video helped you with those nerves too! 😅
@@pizzaxavi aha sometimes you just gotta do more research before doing anything risky but very glad you made this video keep up the great work god bless 🙏🏻
Quick question. I followed the directions on the micros but it wont work. I hold down LB and then push the micro but nothing. I'm on the profile for it as well and program is open.
I’m not to sure what could be the reason but I would make sure you don’t have your delays set to fast in between inputs. Also just double check that you have the correct “Push” “Release” buttons selected.
Nice video! New roller player here, just got this all setup last night but I have some decent stick drift. Have to move the dead zone to 5 percent. Sooo you know on icue how it shows your thumb sticks centered and they are yellow right, my right stick is off to the left slightly and it’s causing the drift. Brand new roller. Should I swap for another one?? Thanks!
Thanks man! Appreciate the feedback. Also mmmmm I’m not gonna lie my thumbstick isn’t perfectly centered everytime while looking at the diagram in iCue. I have my thumb stick set to 2% deadzone because if I flick the thumb stick and let it snap back to center it’s what I would call 1% off so in my head setting it to 2% fixes it and I never had any issue with it after that. As far as swapping it out that’s your call man. 5% is kinda high if it’s a brand new control but then again you could always adjust deadzone in game to be set to zero for certain games so that the 5% in iCue and the let’s say 5% deadzone in game doesn’t add up to 10% or something. If that makes sense. I always turn my deadzone settings to zero if the in game settings allow it so I’m not stacking deadzone adjustments between in game and iCue.
@@pizzaxavi beautiful explanation! Thank you so much! Just now learning all the roller lingo and this makes perfect sense! I was hoping to leave it off in apex and make adjustments in the icue. Idk much, but seems like putting it on 5 percent for a new roller is a little whack. So I’m returning it and getting another one to try. Other than that I am loving the feel and buttons on this thing. Thanks a bunch! I’ve watched a few of your videos, take care!
Well I got my auto run turned on so I’m always sprinting but “A” and “B” for jump and crouch has always been on the right hand for me. I’m just used to it. Some people like opposite hands for that but just habit for me really.
@@pizzaxavi I feel you. I looked up this vid just to see how others have it mapped. I found it easy for me to slide(left paddle) and jump(right paddle).
@@pizzaxavi by the way, any idea as to why my mappings will stop working if I disconnect my usb mid game and try to reconnect it right after - the mappings still won’t work unless I reset the PC?
@@Bryanc007That actually happened to me but I found that if I switch the connection from wifi to usb connection and reopen icue it works again. The wire kinda resets it and then I just flip back to the bluetooth mode
I’ve had mine since Christmas and the left trigger broke, when I press it once it’ll actually be pressed multiple times. I only use mouse click triggers so that could be what caused it, but I feel like 5 months for a high end controller to be unusable is not okay. It is covered under warranty tho so I’m getting it repaired for free, it’s just an annoyance. Has anyone else ran into this issue or did I just likely have a defective model?
Dang man sorry to hear about the malfunction; I haven’t had that issue at all (or yet lol) I also only use the hair triggers but yeah totally agree with you 5 months too soon for stuff like that to happen. How was the customer service experience cause I heard that dealing with Scuf could go either or sometimes.
@@pizzaxavi the only interaction I had with support was them approving my request, the process to get my controller repaired was pretty easy. I just filled out a form with my order # and the Scuf seal of approval number (which is the controller serial number) and they emailed me, approving my repair request within an hour of submitting the form. I just shipped the controller out today so if I remember, I’ll come back to let you know how long it takes for them to repair and send back my controller
Yeah man I honestly would. My only original complaint was the size of the paddles but I quickly got adjusted to the feel coming from the Series 2 to the Envision Pro. Now I really got used to the shoulder buttons and use them way more than I anticipated.
@@pizzaxavi good man thanks for the reply. I think I’ll follow your advice and make the change. I have to get rid of the Xbox elite anyway because the bumpers have stopped working!
@@hutch3459 dude that was my same issue, I ended up pulling the controller apart a few times and “fixing” them (there are these tiny plastic shims under the bumpers actuators and they are so flimsy they stop making contact and end up missing inputs.) if you haven’t tried pulling it apart it’s worth a shot if anything. It got me a couple more months out of it before it started acting weird again so I caved and got the Scuf
@@pizzaxavi hahaha I’ve had to do that too, I’m having to do it every few days now with a tiny screwdriver to push it up and I’ve just had enough of it! Time to put my hand in my pocket
I use the Deity Vo-7u, it’s a pretty damn good mic for the price tbh. I been meaning to do a review on it but haven’t had the chance. Been using it for about 4 months now. Super happy with it. Also got it on an end of the year sale in December for $80 it’s usually around $160. 100% recommended!
I would check both in game settings and icue settings for your trigger deadzones. The iCue software is usually around 2% but if anything adjust those and see if that fixes some of the misfires.
@@pizzaxavi default deadzone is 5% moved it up to 10% its all good now thank you for getting back to me much appreciated forsure going to subscribe 👍 keep up the good work
Nah man I didn’t! Also they just came out with an even more recent update. I been testing it out and it made the appearance of the app to be more functional. Gave a cleaner layout and I’ve had zero disconnects since updating to the newest version as well. I’d say it’s safe to update and enjoy the new iCue app facelift.
Nah but the glitch that was happening was when you select Valk the game would spawn you in the middle of the storm instead of flying down safely. Pretty funny glitch if you ask me. We got trolled big time.
Thx for doing a review. After getting a steamdeck ive been looking for controler with remappable button insted of the mouse and keyboard. I was looking at this and the wolverine v2
Of course bro glad the review helped! I’ve been very happy with my Scuf so far. It’s been close to a full year and I had no major issues. A few times here and there the iCue software crashed but it has been flawless since the recent update tbh. I haven’t looked much into the wolverine v2 but seems like a viable contender. Lmk which one you end up grabbing. Thanks for the comment!
Yeah man there definitely is a way, but that’s big cheating in CoD to use it that way. Just have to mess with the delay times in the macro settings. Don’t get banned though.
@@pizzaxavi yup had to go with the xbox scuff since it was gonna b dedicated for my steam deck. So far not bad but i like the ds5 style more cus of habit
can you set macro to a g key , for example, if i wanna set a l3+ r3 button press to a g key, is it possible? also once you set the g key, would they without the icue software? i like the shoulder buttons and the paddles, was hoping this would be a good control for my steam deck
YES! iCue allows for the G-Keys, Shoulders and Rear Paddles to be reprogrammed to anything you can think of. Macros work, Keystrokes work, you could even do things like launch apps and mute microphones. The only things that are NOT reprogrammable on the Envision pro is the standard face buttons. (ABXY/START/PAUSE/D-PAD/THUMBSTICK CLICKS) can not be reprogrammed. They will also continue to work so long as you saved the bindings to your controllers on board memory. Your allowed 3 savable profiles to swap between on the fly.
@@kevincampos6394 I love the mini stream deck options on the controller. I got mine at Best Buy too cause the return policy is really good there and made me feel better about spending the money on the controller knowing if anything happens I can return it for another one.
Are your thumb sticks fine? I have this issue where my left stick won’t recenter its self 😢and I’ve been trying to deal with it but it’s getting annoying might have to cave in and get a battle beaver. I’m just asking since you have been using yours longer than mine. Also I’ve updated the whole time I’ve had no issues with that. But physically my stick is acting up… pause lol thanks for the vid
Dang man sorry to hear that. My thumb sticks haven’t had any issues with them drifting luckily; they recenter themselves fine. I only have 1% deadzone adjustment set in iCue. Does adjusting your deadzone help at all?
No I’ve tried that already. It’s definitely a physical problem with the thumb stick modulas. I hit up the support so let’s see what happens. Thanks again for the videos keep he grind up
Sadly no; you can only remap the additional G-Keys, Paddles and Shoulder Buttons. All your standard face buttons and triggers are non programable. Any programmable buttons can be assigned a macro though.
If you are experiencing drift or unintended thumbstick movement in-game with your SCUF Envision, please try the following: Open iCUE, and make sure that the thumbstick deadzones are not set to zero. 🤣🤣🤣
