My name is Seren Santiago, and welcome to my RU-vid channel! This is a channel dedicated to high-quality, lightly-edited professional gaming videos with informed opinions and discussion on the latest games being released. I mainly concentrate on the Strategy genre, covering games such as ARA: History Untold, Frostpunk 2, Total War: WARHAMMER III, Sid Meier's Civilization 6, & more.
I also do a series called "Seren's Indie Spotlight", which showcases new games from talented indie developers in a first impressions style format. Finally, I livestream on Wednesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays with a more laid-back feel, and with games I typically would not play in videos, such as The Crew Motorfest, Minecraft, & Space Marine 2.

Hey i was wondering if you could a few tutorials, you know focus on some important aspects of the game like how to start and what kind of options and paths you can take. That would be awesome.
I don't tend to do tutorials, but I think I could put some together for Old World! It will be a couple of weeks, as I'm busy with a ton of new games at the moment, but I'll get some together for sometime starting in October.
@@SerenSantiago thanks for the reply 😊 yes that would be great. There aren’t a lot of videos on it so it would be good to hear you talk about it as you know what you’re doing really well. Thanks again!
Larger exhibits is definitely helpful. (Your coelophysis exhibit could be 2-3 times the size, which makes managing its habitat needs easier, since theres more space)
I (possibly we) would like to see bigger enclousers, also you can use rocks as the barrier and use the invisible fence to make it look more natural, and also add areas with glass.
I think you don't use cover enough, never ever leave guy standing in an open if there is cover next to him, you do it multiple times for some reason, also when you use cover option you just drag cover like 3 meters, you do understand that they don't shoot anyone farther than that? You need actually drag that cover area all the way....
I play Company of Heroes which is very similar. I wish I could zoom out like you can in this game. The inability to zoom out really ruins the game which is why I am looking at Men of War.
@@damagingthebrand7387 you cannot read. WARNO classifies them as submachine guns because they only have 3 classifications for infantry small arms. Battle rifles, submachine guns, and LMGs. BR’s as typical arms, submachine guns for assault troops and close quarters, LMGs for suppression. We’re talking about a video game here, not real life. Of course a weapons that shoots 5.56 isn’t a submachine gun you dimwit.
Boot Up Audacity Press Record and wait 5 seconds without making noise and then proceed as normal highlight the first 5 seconds, go to reduce noise level and press the get noise level button highlight the entire audio track go to reduce noise level and then use the saved values you will no longer have that background buzz might be named slightly different, mine is german and I memorized it
Didn't use to have the background buzz, have switched microphones the last couple weeks and it's started since. Still working out those settings, bear with me.
Hot tip: When you clicked on those weapons at the end and caused the weapon card's background to turn dark blue, that orders the unit to not fire that weapon. If you are wondering why the game gives you the ability to that, it's extremely situational and for the most part any uses for it could be both easier and better handled through alternate means. The only use case that's likely to come-up for it is specifically some Anti-Air units who have a weapon that uses radar but the game has a SEAD tutorial so they will probably teach you about that then (and if not, I can explain it then).
Massive appreciation for the tips there, any and all help is very nice as a new player. Thanks so much! I did originally plan to jump right into the campaign but seeing this makes me rethink that and go on with some more of the tutorials because that may benefit me.
I believe you are thinking as I was. The hunting limit seems to be the reverse of what "is normal." It will hunt down to the number you set. If there are 20 animals, and you set it to 15 it will only hunt 5. Not how I thought it would, hunt 15 and stop. I didn't notice this until I happen to hover over the Hunting Limit text in the camp info window. I was running out of food and couldn't figure why.
You are a lifesaver, my friend. That is exactly how I was thinking it was. I'm recorded a bit ahead and we are indeed starting to run low on food for unknown reasons. I will put that tip to good use!
While I don't like it, I believe that Millenia is designed such that you need to keep a good distance between your primary regions (ones that you will have total building control for, which there is a max limit of 8 I think, any more above this cap must remain as vassals). From what I have seen, you need to retain a large tile space around your controllable regions because most of the tiles will be needed for improvements. I do not think there is a workable tile radius limit in Millenia like there is in Civilization, whatever your region has enough influence to acquire is workable. So you want to avoid settling new regions too close to each other or too close to neutrals or AI players if you can avoid it. You are settling a new region (think real-world province or state) that will consist of a capital and several towns, unlike Civilization's single city settles. Due to the 5 tile distance cap for auto creation of roads, you should use a pioneer to bridge the gap between you regions to get roads, once the border of one of your regions expand to touch the outpost's border, you can absorb the outpost into that region's control. In your video, it would have been better to escort your settler with one of your armies to a better spot further from your starting region that is also not too close to a neutral region. If your starting region is too close to neutral regions, then maybe it would be better to use envoys to vassalize them rather than using a settler to create your own vassal region from scratch.
Eh, pastures are for sheep, farms are for grains. Settlers don't seem all that good to me, you create a new region but it's just a vassal (like a puppet in civ) which you have no control of at all, at least for the human player. Having to integrate the region you spent your government points for on the settler in order to get control over it costs extra it seems.
Still early, but as I've played on it seems that extra settlements start out vassalized but you get the benefits from them (extra money, production, etc) - but yes I do see what you're seeing that it costs extra to integrate.
