Sprummus is a channel about music discussion, songs, albums, and whatnot. I'm just beginning and figuring out my voice and writing style, but thanks for checking out the channel, regardless.
Great video. Also I wanted to point out that 7:50 the singing carrots are actually a double reference, with it being a reference to the kanipan cover of rawest forest. With it having 3 singing crabs doing the harmony with the same sketchy style
You might enjoy Wreckers Of Civilization, which is a total chronical of TG, but something free which you could watch is BBC's Other, Like Me: The Oral History Of COUM Transmissions And Throbbing Gristle. It is early stuff, that doesn't get into TG as much as pre TG. Nice video though, but there is a lot more info out there. But they are one of my fav groups/artists. The song weeping is actually about the death of Ian Curtis.
Thank you. Also that is because I just started. It takes a really long time to get any kind of following - even back then. I'm also happy being a smaller channel since having a moderate following freaks me out.
To me Dream Job could be about living up the hype set up from their first album. They like criminals (money hungry record labels) when they’re being treated kindly by them. The whole idea of his ‘Dream Job’ could be a sarcastic comment on how they are now full time musicians but it isn’t all it is cracked up to be. The chorus is also made up of British positive slang words (mint, boss, class) which he sings in such a overly positive tone that he’s probably also being sarcastic. Nice video
Thank you, kind sir, for somehow grabbing the thoughts I have regarding 'The Fleets' and making them come out of your mouth! Now I can simply share your video to prove what a crap band they really are. You've done your Christian duty for the year!
