After this flight, Dr. Carl Sagan, astronomer, author, lecturer, and host of the tv series "Cosmos", died of cancer on December 20th, 1996. His love for the cosmos was strong until the end. Several months after his death, the film "Contact" starring Jodie Foster and based on his book "Contact" is released in theaters to critical and commercial acclaim as a tribute to Dr. Carl Sagan. No matter what happens, we must keep exploring the cosmos and settle on other worlds.
Two of my children just went through K-12 and not in one semester either in Elementary, Middle or High School they learn about the United States Space Program’s history. Not the Mercury, Gemini or Apollo Programs nor the Astronauts that were apart of them. And not the Space Race. They’ve only learned about all of this because my wife and I taught them. Do our School Systems today not want children to be proud of American Ingenuity and Exploration?? Why is 30+ years of American History being completely ignored by our K-12 School Systems??

A lot of politics went into making this vehicle. One major political requirement was to make the shuttle reusable. The SRB sections were often warped after use, and had to be bent back into shape. Warped SRB sections may have been a contribution factor to the O-Rings not seating properly during assembly. Engineers have a duty to reject substandard practices, and assembling a bent SRB is one example.

4:55 Very large and bright pulsating UFO. Gorgeous… isn’t it? Almost like it’s a living entity! It actually looks like the UFO/UAP 🛸inspired replica in the movie, “Independence Day: Resurgence (2016).”
Okay so NASA defines a space tether as a long cable made of thin, high-strength fibers that connects spacecraft together as they orbit a central body, such as Earth. Tethers can be hundreds of meters long connecting spacecraft's... but this isn't connected to anything🙄... its just a object of focus being called a line tether. There's no visible view of earth either. How are commentors seeing UFO's or life forms when NASA clearly goes from low quality of recording from the 1920's 😆 to full modern day HD visuals but on the same mission, same Sol day? At 5:32 the scene changes from black and white, to color😆🤣. These are not the same recordings That filled bubble to the right looks alot like an air bubble that's developed under your microscope slide. 🙄 This doesn't look any different from dirty pond water, or ocean water. At 5:45 are lenses reflecting light, but a much higher quality camera... still not the same as the starting of this ridiculous video😆 this is a study on microscopic research being conducted on the ISS. 😆 You pranksters are wasting my time...I could be watching star trek.
Soviet Union: haha look they lost one of there rockets, what a failure hahaha. Also the Soviet Union: so hey when are those emergency safety tests on the reactors at Chernobyl going to happen? The CNPP: um on April 6th this year comrade, but there are some flaws in the reactor, should we fix those flaws comrade? The Soviet Union: no, it’s going to be fine.
So I watched a space documentary, and they said the shuttle didn't explode. The boosters did, but after it exploded, they were getting readings on the bodies inside the shuttle. They died from the impact when the shuttle hit the water.
Anyone saying that the Stirling engine is slow to speed up and heavy, I would like to forward you to the Nasa technical report related to this video where they put the Mod 2 (another Stirling engine) into a Chevrolet Celebrity. 0-60 was 12.4 on the Mod 2 (the "Spark Ignition" was 13.0) and the weight was only 100 lb heavier. (100 lb for a 1.25 ton vehicle)
I was a first grader, we watched it live in our class with several other classes joining us. I think I realized what had happened before my teacher could process it. She was in shock.
The only launch I’ve seen live. My wife bought me tickets to the observation area, but we were some how kicked out after the previous day scrub. We watched the launch from the causeway instead. How lucky was I that the Discovery Channel was doing a documentary during that very launch.
NASA: our goal is to make space travel routine! The loss of life is acceptable, calculated into the equation. Space X has yet to loose life, but it will...and sooner than expected.
