rafted here today. instructors made us walk around this bad boy lol !! i ended up getting tossed in at little falls and getting cold water shock i can ONLY imagine riding this beast 😈 way to go !
@@dustoniusthe Lowman guage? If at 1300, wouldn't there be 500 or more added from Deadwood? We had 900 from Deadwood last week, plus 525 or so at Lowman.
@@seanfraser7738 Good catch. I misspoke. 1300 was Deadwood + Lowman gauge (basically). At the time, Cascade Raft had a pretty accurate calculation that included a simple algorithm for high water small stream input to account for the missing water on top of what you'd get if you added the gauges and compared to horseshoe bend. Their flow estimates matched USGS gauges very closely. 1300, mid-summer, was a very close, conservative estimate. Not that it matters too much. We dumptrucked anyway. Major life memory, for sure.
@ericlase Thankya sir! I wish I would have just ridden the one big "waterfall" move there towards the end like you did. It would have made my video flow better. That was the first time I had pushed it that hard and done all but waterfall. Better camera mount, bigger balls, next spring...
