I see many who claim the gift of tongues but none who claim they have the gift of interpretation of them. Interpretation of tongues is mentioned in Ephesians as a gift right after speaking in tongues is mentioned. I’m learning to read the Bible carefully!
You might think it’s a great point but it’s not Biblical. All this denomination believes are formed of people misinterpreting the scripture. Who is he to say that Tongue has ceased? Has knowledge ceased as pertaining 1 Corinthians 13??? Tongues are more than a language that human can interpret in fact, The Bible says “ 1 Corinthians 14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:39 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
Paul, you're a man like all of us. No, tongues have not ceased yet ( 1 cor. 13). As long as there is the real speaking in tongues, there will be counterfits. May God have on all the church leaders.

This preachers teaches that GOD DOES NOT LOVE EVERYONE! Calvinism is heresy. Just imagine having this pastor over to dinner some can meet your family and when someone asks him, "does God really love me?". He could say yes, but he would be dishonest with himself, because in his theological framework, he teaches that the Lord Jesus DID NOT DIE FOR THE WHOLE WORLD!! BUT only for the elect. Stay away from men who teach false doctrines. John 3:16 is the Gospel and gives mankind a way to be saved. Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. How awesome it is that God knew the Gospel message HAD TO BE simple so ANYONE COULD UNDERSTAND IT, especially little children. Did you ever meet an child that came to faith in Christ through learning the confused theological chaos of Calvinism? NEVER, I bet. God is love.
My hope for all reformed folks is that they go to a small country Abostolic Penticostal Church at least once in their lives so they can understand what the first centuriy church. I learned alot in reformed circles. They have really big heads. They study their Bibles...... but they don't understand what it is like to have a living reletionship with Christ through the Holy Spirit.
like how you put that together God's justice using his son, you started off with someone's dead wife and showed us a line of biblical heroes who needed God's mercy, God's mercy comes through death but not ours, it's his own family member, JESUS, how simple and yet powerful! it would be right for God to act as that man with the dead wife and be angry about His son death but yet he doesn't hold back on killing him for us, POWERFUL!
I know withnesses where they were praying in tongues and people with a complete diffrent background where able to understand every word. Its a weak argument what paul washer is using by saying it has ceased because noone is doing it. No one he k ows is doing it. But it still happens. People dont want yo belive it because they dont have it and they cant explain it.
So true, it’s sad really, so many learned people professing the faith and still have not received the Holy Spirit. John 3:5 tells us we must be baptized of water and the Spirit. We have to pray for them.
So sorry for you fallen into apostasy believer and everyone else who follows your teachings. Because once being chosen to be saved converted redeemed and born again from above into Christ's spiritual Church, the Holy Spirit enters and resides in you, into our mind, to become our Teacher and not man! I respect Brother Paul. You are one of God’s gifts for today's church. I don't speak in tongue. But I know friends who speaks and I am always blessed praying with them. I see them with spiritual life richness.
Jesus never wanted anyone to call him lord. His message was dilluted by man. JESUS WAS TRYING TO TELL US THAT WE ARE ALL SONS OF GOD. THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS WITHIN. we are all extentions of God. Please wake up and hear Christ true message. We are all one with God. Jesus was speaking from Oneness.
