Planet fitness has plenty of equipment and can be a great gym for almost anyone. It all depends on your fitness goals. If you are trying to compete in a body building competition it may not be the right fit but for people just trying to be healthy or lose some weight or just gain some muscle mass, it it a good gym for those things and that is pribay 90% of peoples fitness goals fall in that catagory if not more. I am a former competitive body builder and I get great workouts at planet fitness. Planet Fitness is for what in it's name (fitness) it's not necessarily for body builders. People who join know that and peoe who don't also know what it is.
For 24 bucks a month the unlimited tanning alone makes it worth it and here In kthe Bay Area where everything is very expensive there is no better deal. I’m sure in some states planet may be full of beginners but here they have plenty of bro bros lifting because they are clean and affordable.
Yeah they have sports on the beach like volleyball, some dance/exercise on the pool, ping pong tournaments. Usually every hour they have something. From 11 am until 3-4pm they got activities
Thwre is this toxic atmosphere where peoeple think "shredded people don't go to PF". In fact there are several people who do. My health insurance allows me ro go to a multitude of gyms including PF. Honestly if you think about it...the massage and tanning beds alone is a reason to upgrade a membership consodering an actual spa or chiropractor will charge exceedingly more for those services. There is also a crunch fitness. Similar model and proces. Far better machine options. The hack squst and mechabical tire alone for example. Personally, the lsrge amount of cardio equipment can be useful. Like if you go st a peak hour cardio machines can legitimately get full st PF. Or worse case scenario manh introverts don't want to be right by another. I don't mind leg day at PF but upper body day I go to a different gym. Sure, deadlifts sre nonexistent snd dangerous to sn extent but still possible on smith. There's a powerlifter on RU-vid who has a good video on kt. The one negative I will say about PF. Is thst the "trainers" who basically do the classes are not there to grow muscle and many times don't know how. The few I've visited they tend to focus more on weight loss or senior exercise.
Yeah that's the one issue with mexican steak restaurants 😂 they never seem to get that right. So I actually order medium because I like medium rare hahahhaa
For what Planet Fitness offers you're getting a GREAT DEAL!!! Sure we don't cater to everyone on the planet looking for specific types of machines or equipment however if you're in the market for a gym that will help you reach your primary fitness goals without breaking the bank then we are the one for you!!!

Yeah! So when I was there they had a dj at night in the lobby. There was maybe around 50 people there. Also the restaurant I showed is also at night with reservation (not the buffet one). And you can also go to any of the night events in the other hotels
My problem with PF is the same problem that I have with all public gyms. They have the news on 24/7. I can understand one channel, but to dedicate all the channels to the news is pretty sickening. 🤮

I definitely would classify myself as a beginner. I’ve never exercised or trained since like highschool or college PE classes. I have an active job (I stock groceries), I want to avoid getting diabetes, being obese and generally moving better.
Do they have a treadmill I can walk on backwards, and would I get in trouble for that? I’ve read that walking backwards on a treadmill in zero drop shoes can help rehabilitate your gait and I’ve can walk backwards out normally, but it’s not as good as just being able to do it indefinitely.
Been into bodybuilding since early 90s. Love PF dont have to deal with douchebags, meatheads or as many mirror queens The morons taking 5 sets of dumbells in corners, guys dropping weights on the phone tying up stations I say something to. Dont put up with that crap. Been to many "better" equipped gyms but people generally get on my nerves. Crowd at PF is usually way more laid back and tame. Just wanna get my workout done and leave . Dont need tons of weight to grow
If you will get a massage, want the extra benefit of included room service and don't want to sit with a sea of people I would say it is. So it really depends if those things are important to you 😊 because the massage discount was 40%

My hubbie and I are going late August and also staying in the Premium level. One question, I read somewhere there is a pool only for Premium level guests? is this so?
