I used to play enough to get a host. The problem is life changes ended up changing that lol. 1 other tip I can bring up. There are some things that you absolutely don’t need a host for. Let’s say you play outside of Vegas, but you want to stay at a hotel during a Vegas trip. Cesar’s is a good example. You can actually go online and see deals on where you want to stay. I did that and got a full week of stay for only resort fee. (I didn’t have status to qualify for free yet.) Also, slots look at coin in, and coin out, plus hand pays. You could “cheat” with slot play, while tables need to be hot and heavy. Sometimes a pit boss could rate you higher than you actually play if you’re on a slow table or tip the dealers well.
Very good advise. My mottos are its more fun gambling with the casinos money. Hit and run, dont come back with All of the winnings and give it back. Loosers chase jackpots. Winners hit jackpots and go home or to the bank.
I started to watch your channel and I did subscribe, but I have to complain about your camera skills It is not very clear it is kind of fuzzy. I’m not a big fan of these old machines seems like it gets a bit boring!
For all but a few professional gamblers, the South Point is head and shoulders above all the other casinos. The VP goes up to 99.7% and the cash back is a generous 0.3%. Places like the Stations and Boyd only give 0.1% or less and offer nothing to the video poker player. Other decent options are The M, Arizona Charlies and Silverton. But the high quality cheap food at the South Point gives them the nod in my book. None of that stupid 6:5 blackjack either.
My Executive Casino Host at Circa Las Vegas was too busy for me. Giving me one word responses through text. My other host at Golden Nugget Las Vegas treat us very good, always giving us complimentary rooms and events. I guess my family and I won't be spending time at Circa.
I had the same experience in Laughlin. My host at Riverside pretty much ignored me all the time. Met her once & spoke to her 3x in 1 year. I am now a faithful customer of Golden Nugget Laughlin. My host is fantastic! Calls me every month. Books adjoining rooms when my family goes with me. In addition, I expressed interest in Vegas so, he introduced me to GN Vegas host. I've gone twice this year (2024) and he is great as well. Airport transportation, comps, ect.
I went to your video on how class 2 bingo works. I left a comment there on a pattern that showed in yellow with none of the numbers showing in white. It looked like it should have been a winner. The pattern was inside corners. Apparently I'm not understanding. LOL
There is another level to this - some patterns are only eligable after a certain number of bingo numbers have been called. We're going to cover that in a part 2. :)
Hi Marc, as a past regular roulette player in Tasmania in the 1970s, I sat at a table while 19 blacks came up in a row. My ‘go to’ when plying, is to bet on the previous colour. I added 25% of each win to my next bet until I reached the Table Maximum, which was controlled by the State Government at the time. I was a very happy chappy to lose the 20th bet. Love your channel and info. The reason I played this way was not because I thought it was necessarily a good bet, rather that I didn’t have to make a choice, therefore removed a biased decision. It just made it easier. Like when I play Blackjack, I press my win by 50% and reduce to my minimum when I loose. If I go backwards in my total winnings by 30%, I finish my gambling session for the visit. I made a living this way over a 4 year period at a time they were hitting the card counters but left me alone.
Unless you are a big player my experience is that for the general player a host can and will do mouthing extra for you. They look at your amount of play and give you what you get, nothing extra. No more or less than any other employee in charge of reservations. Back in the good ole days of Vegas 1970- 1985+- the host at check out would assist in comping food, beverages and some other items based on play no problem. Today you’re lucky if anything is comped, as a customer we are treated more as a bother than a paying customer. And this is just one reason I don’t go anymore.
I’ve been going to a local casino a lot more often lately. I had a host come up to me and introduce himself. He offered me a free room instead of driving back home 2 hours away. I took him up on that offer. He gave me all his information so I can book a future trip with him. It was a nice surprise
They used to be mechanical even when they started using electricity. It became a matter of computer algorithms when the digital displays came out and that changed the whole game.
COMPED MANY TIMES AT SENECA NIAGARA CASINO & HOTELS. YA GET COMPS FROM CARDS OR SLOTS. NOT GETTING COMPS FOR JUST DINNER AND LEAVING. ITS A BUSINESS AND YOUR THERE TO GAMBLE NO BRAINER.
