I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes...
@@Margerat-x The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
Sooooooooo, hello there, kind people... I'm going to fact check myself here! I'm the first person speaking in this video and I was caught a bit off guard walking home, indeed, and it's always a risky thing to answer someone right off the bat, something that by the way I would never do either in writing or even during a longer conversation if we had met at a party or any other casual gathering! Alors! According to the Wikipedia page I was thinking of... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_North_American_cities_by_population ... based on municipal censuses, Montréal was in fact ranked the 8th biggest North American city by population, but that number change if you consider the total urban agglomeration and not just the city itself, then also the page, I realize now, is using numbers from 2015 and more recent data have tossed the position of the city somewhere between 10th and 13th. Next and more importantly, the TV news report I was referencing when I talked about Chicago was about the number of homicides in the total month of January being every year bigger than the number of homicides in the total year in Montréal, and not the first hour of the first day (of course!!!)! I am so sorry about that, really, I can't stress enough how sorry I am for saying those things so quickly without at least getting the facts straight by consulting my phone before agreeing to be on camera, something we should always do. I hope you all pardon me. Finally, it was clumsy of me to talk about crime rates when the safe side I had in mind, based on dozens of stories shared by girl friends, was more about a psychological on-your-guard mindset they can turn down a great couple of notches when they come back in Montréal (sorry France, but it's bad!). Sorry again, dear friends and viewers, I swear I will never again drop stats without make sure beforehand that they are the right ones. Love to all. Cheers!
Hi Carl. I think your comments were a wonderful endorsement of that which makes Montreal great. Regarding the accuracy of statistics mentioned, I think - or at least, I hope - it is clear to all viewers that these are real strangers I am speaking to who had no preparation. The value I see in this type of interaction is it provides genuine moments where the viewer can truly feel that they are exploring and meeting interesting characters as they learn a bit about Montreal. This is, of course, at the expense of 100% accuracy which would only be possible if these moments were scripted and pre-planned. But if they were scripted, it would feel like an "ad" for Montreal and somehow it would lose the soul and spontaneity of the project. Thank you again for being part of the video and for writing your thoughtful comment as well. best, dan
I am moving there in a couple of weeks. So excited! Could you (or have you) make/made a video on buildings to buy a condo in? Because I’ve been looking like crazy, and it seems I’ll have to couch it up with a friend and look at places once I’m there.
I always hope i’ll bump into you one day when i’m walking around saint laurent/saint denis. Lot’s of love from a fellow winnipeger who moved to montreal because of your videos! ❤
I just spent 4 weeks in Guatemala 🇬🇹 I was nervous for a while but never had any problems, I spent 4 weeks studying Spanish in Antigua! Great experience
The heavier one is the discontinued real Damascus steel. This is the newer engraved Damascus-pattern stainless steel. This one is not a heavier The Ridge model but medium.
