This is great. Do you have any footage of human faces in shots while being backlit? I've seen some reviewer clips that look quite bad with the camera trying too hard to expose for the face as well as the highlight. Also, do you have any experience outputting into HDR color space (Rec2020) instead of Rec709 with DLog-M?
Yes built in microphone and wind reduction set to high. I personally don't like the wind reduction setting, setting it at normal is better (which you can hear in my other bike ride test video).
I really wish Zack would’ve shot this like he did BvS in 2.35:1 + with Larry Fong. BvS is just full of beautiful images in a way that ZSJL just isn’t. I’d still like to know if Zack was barred from working with Larry due to all the silly comments about the “dark” cinematography in BvS reviews. I still remember during JL production Zack had to do a dog & pony show to for a bunch of online film geeks that JL would be “lighter” “have jokes” and not utilize his super contrasty aesthetic
Dude, you are a star! This is a wonderful tool for explaining to people where the missing picture information is due to the different aspect ratios! I still have arguments to this day about films shot in 2.35:1 having black bars and people just simply don't believe me when I say they are seeing the full picture 🤣
they are or they aren't? because in the above example 1.33:1 has full info, 2.40:1 is not the full picture. - so how can they see the full picture with 2.35:1? (Sincerely asking. maybe i am wrong.)
@@AtticAurel They ARE seeing the full picture. The difference here is that Justice League was shot "open matte" in 4:3 so they can use whichever part of the screen they want. Terminator 2 is shot the same way. For a film shot specifically in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio like Jaws, for example, it will have black bars on the top and bottom when viewed on a 16:9 TV because it's such a wide format. To remove the bars means cropping the sides and losing around 30% of the picture. I think this was the wrong video for me to write such a comment because it's really not relevant to Justice League!
@@AshrafAli-is4wv I doubt it, considering that Snyder finally is getting to tell the story as he intended, and his vision included that squared aspect ratio
@@Mike_v_E well not just me, there many many would prefer wide-screen. Anyway somehow i need to get a wide-screen version, even if I have to edit it myself. Cant stand boxy versions specially in 2021
