How to describe the perfection? These three giants are at their best together! I was privileged to be at their live performances several times and can feel it here. I am glad, many music lovers appreciate this performance and give it their highest 👍, even the restored audio is not at its best.
@84kaptur - filled with gratitude for this concerto, I wish to add that I love the sound, from the date of the younger, romantic (he always were) David Oistrakh. In other concertos I certainly also love the remastered versions. So thanks for this too...
@84kaptur - could you kindly tell me who is the conductor and the orchestra? I'd guess: Kirill Kondrashin and the USSR State Symphony Orchestra- it sounds like it????? But the cover of the video in French - it makes me doubt...
@@84kaptur Thank you!!!!! Well, I love the way Alexander Gauk conducted - and, of course I'll always love and admire the way David Oistrakh plays! At, least I got the orchestra right - there were not that many alternatives, Gauk, also born in Odessa! So many great musicians were Ukrainians - bless them - they need that right now. Thanks again, I'll look up what else there is with Gauk...

Можно ничего не смыслить ни в сонатной форме, ни вообще в скрипичной музыке - но ведь 17-летний мальчик зачем-то метнулся в консерваторию в декабре 80-го, чтобы захватить хотя бы краешек одного из этих двух великанов? - Ойстраха и Когана. Леониду Когану тогда было 56, Игорю Ойстраху - 49. Самого Давида Ойстраха вживую не видал - он умер в 1974-м...мне шёл 12-й годок. Сейчас, слушая скрипку Давида Ойстраха на 62-м году жизни и переслушав терабайты записей, не нахожу никого - кто смог бы хотя бы ненадолго постоять рядом с этим великаном и гением...до того его трактовки филигранны, чудодейственны, недосягаемы и великолепны !!!
