I just bought a used dryer and it seems to have a range cord, but i have the "L" outlet. Can i just switch the "L" cord from the old dryer to the new dryer?

So I just moved into a place and had my washer and dryer delivered today. The delivery gentleman informed me that the outlet where the dryer goes is a stove outlet. Can I just change the outlet out with out running anything else? Or is there an amperage difference I need to worry about?
Yes, you can switch the outlet. It's likely the wrong one was installed previously. To be thorough, check the breaker box. If it's a 30-amp breaker, which is standard for dryers, I'd recommend installing a 4-prong dryer outlet and matching power cord. If it's a 50-amp breaker, that's meant for a stove, and you'll need an electrician to rewire it. Since the outlet is in the laundry room, it’s probably a 30-amp circuit, and a range outlet (rated for 50 amps) was mistakenly used. While range outlets and cords look similar and can be used, it's best to use the correct setup for safety and compatibility.
What size are the set screws in the door handle? If I’ve misplaced a set screw in the freezer handle can I buy a single one or do I need to replace the whole handle? Your expertise is much appreciated.
RU-vid has been my goto source to fix household appliances for a long time..... THIS is the best and most comprehensive site I've ever found.... Parts list and all! PERFECT!
Hello. I have a samsung RSA1Z . It shows up the error of the fan condenser (C-Fan Trouble -Freezer second digit "e"). I had bought another motor. However when I plugged it in, it didn’t work too. Now the samsung is running in short time, its not cold enough. I don’t know how to resolve. Can you give me advice please? Thank. Regards
My current range has the OEM DG47-00023A that is no longer available and must be replaced with 00060A the one you are demonstrating. Do you know how I can get instructions on the new wiring configuration?
From what I've see of m12 and m18 they are pretty close for performance so it honestly doesn't hurt to just get a m12 if you are a DIY or prosumer and save the money you would have spend on an m18
The cover you referenced is the heating element housing, which is part of the dryer, and houses the heating element when installed. The housing must be disassembled to access and replace the heating element.
My Samsung RF4287HARS/XAA fridge first stopped making ice, then the fridge started getting warm and the freezer would not freeze. My Samsung fridge was having all the symptoms you described in this video and the compressor would overheat and the condensor fan wouldn't run. So I found out what fan motor it needed and I ordered it in Amazon to replace it just like you showed in this video. It should arrive tomorrow and I hope it fixes the problems we've been having after I install it. Thanks for posting this RU-vid video, it is very helpful and it should save us lots of money in expensive shop repairs.
