Peace and blessings, everyone! I'm Chris Allison, a hobby DJ spinning out of my den in Virginia Beach, VA.
I grew up in Toronto, in the 80s and 90s, with a love for urban sounds with a good beat. The vinyl records and cassette tapes are gone, but the music and good memories still live on in my heart! These days, I spin the greatest and cleanest from my days, using new technology (Serato DVS, RU-vid, etc.) spread these good vibes to anyone who likes it, new listeners or old.
I spin the best-and CLEANEST of: -Chris tian/gospel -hip hop -Reggae/dancehall -RnB/soul -freestyle -new jack swing -go go -old school/breakbeats -house/techno ...and other great sounds🔥😎🙏
Vintage...urban...family friendly... gutter-free. I'm just a voice crying out in the wilderness! Feel free to rock along with me, and if so inclined, subscribe, like, comment , or share my mixes!. God bless all of you! -Chris
@@Mountainsandmusic8011 Thanks my friend! I always had an ear for good reggae tunes, growing up in Toronto DJing longside reggae soundcrews...after a while, I started to buy my own and make reggae mixtapes. Now I'm back on the scene using RU-vid and laptop technology, spreading positive vibes from my den! Feel free to check out my other reggae mixes on my channel, and subscribe if you're feeling it!
@@chrisallisondj Thanks Chris. Yes Reggae is big in Toronto. I think that reggae producer Prince Jammy had a studio there at one time. Have just subscribed to your channel. I am a musician myself and have some tunes that I've produced on my channel if you would like to give them a listen. I'm also the keyboard player in a reggae covers band as well 👍
@@Mountainsandmusic8011 oh yeah true, I took it for granted, growing up in Toronto, being such a hotbed for reggae. A lot of artists and sound systems cut their teeth in this town. I checked out your channel and liked it... subscribed!
@@chrisallisondj thanks Chris. Glad you liked some of the things on my channel. Hiking is my other hobby aside from producing and playing music so there's a few hiking videos on there too. Thanks for subscribing Chris. Much appreciated
A good mix, thanks for taking the time to put this together. Any chance of a tracklist as there's a couple on here that I'm struggling to get hold of 👍🏻
Thanks, my friend! Sure, I may add one in the next little while. If you want, just let me know the minutes/seconds the song is and I'll tell you what song it is
Hey, just to let you know, I added a tracklist to the video description broken down by location of the video in minutes and seconds...it took me a few tries but I think I got it now...I hope this helps!
Thank you!! Actually, I did too. I loved the movie so much that I recorded the audio from it mostly because there is such good music in Beat Street that's not on either of the soundtrack volumes. Not just that, but there was almost no hip hop in movies at this time, especially on Toronto in the mid 80s!
Hahahaha, caught me slippin'!! I first got Volume 1 and 2 on cassette...I quickly wore them out and had to buy new ones! Beat Street cassettes had a lot of mileage in my house😎
Thanks, right back atcha! Beat Street was such a a great movie...the thing is that most of the good scenes never made the movie and most of the good music never made the soundtrack -both volumes! I just wanted to do the fans some justice😎
