I just discovered this. Thanks for posting this! What a great show, not just Jo-El’s playing and singing but great steel work and amazing twin fiddling too! Any background info on this video? What are the names of the band members? (Je be parked Français) Who was the announcer/MC? There’s quite a few VHS blips but the performance is so great that I can easily overlook that.

Geno was my dad. I played drums for him for years before he passes away in 2011. I'm mostly a country steel player since I was about 15 years old but he asked me to play drums for his band and I'm so glad I did. He was my best friend and miss him a lot. Thanks for posting the video. Been living in Dallas for 30 years now and need to get back down there to visit the Cajun Music Hall of Fame so I can see induction after his passing.
