Fantastic! I was guitarist in Zeppelin tribute band and I know how difficult nailing this is. Above all, finding a Plant not so easy. Most are fat 50 year old's with blond wigs.😮
What a talented group! I hope they are still active because I wanna see them now! Terrific performance from all! Can’t believe I’ve never heard of them until now, as much as I search for Zeppelin content on here.
Why the hell hasn't the SEO of googletube not presented this video to me until now? Not only did these cats nail it, they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Fantastic job..........BRAVO!!! Every musician did an outstanding job. The singer is the closest to Robert Plant's voice I've heard yet..........( aside from myself, back when I was in my prime........but I played the guitar for the Rain Song AND sang it at the same time.........I still do......but at 62 yrs old now, I have to sing some alternative notes for the highest vocals. Hey, it still works well & sounds very good.........according to my audiences. Robert Plant himself hasn't been able to hit those high vocals for years now. )
Technically the best cover esp Rain Song, all the subtle sound idioms of the recorded version are hit spot on. it is the sum total of all those little details that makes The Rain Song what it is.
Great rendition. They all shine, but the bass player's chops really added that TSRTS groove from the live album . He's so on point on this performance.
Just came across this 9 years later ... DOH Frig'n Awesome I always found Page to be such a sloppy guitarist... wrote great music .. BUT ... Wedemeyer plays so much better Dolyniuk is an excellent vocalist... Plant is a hard act to follow but you nailed it in your own style. Gilcrest doesn't stand out... well neither did Jones ... nice and steady adding to the rhythm And finally you can't have LZ without a clear beat and Leon doesn't disappoint. Much better than Jason Bonahm's LZE .02 Thanks for sharing
Jason Bonham should pluck Dolyniuk for his band which would be a significant upgrade from his current vocalist…Brody and Mr. Jimmy would be the best one-two punch in the Zeppelin tribute business…
This sounds very close to the real thing. I just wish the video editing did not try to create a mood and, rather, concentrated on the performers. The guitarist is playing some great licks and the editor is focusing on anything but the guitarist. Also, ditch the lasers. Live performances are meant for watching the performers.
Read an interview once with someone associated with their record company. About The Rain Song he said, 'what do you call that kind of music? It never existed before they recorded it.'
This Vocalist comes as close as possible to plant's voice tone and phrasing.. To be honest sounds closer to plant than Planr himself. Not to mention tbe othet musicians
