I can’t believe Steve Whitmire was fired. Disney fired him. Sesame Street and the Jim Henson Company didn’t fire him, Disney did. I don’t know what Disney thought Disney was doing firing Steve Whitmire. That may have been a mistake. Right?
It’s weird that they call themselves the muppets but not the puppets. Jim Henson called them muppets as a cross between marionettes and puppets, but the muppets don’t refer to themselves as puppets or marionettes. You know in Madagascar 3 when Marty said something stupid to the dogs about being too cute to be in the real world, one of the dogs said “Back Off You Muppet”. One of the circus dogs in Madagascar 3 called Marty a muppet, but not as Jim Henson’s muppets. You know the word muppet can also be a British word or insult to describe a stupid or foolish person. I think one of the dogs in Madagascar 3 was British and was using the word muppet as an insult to Marty. Muppet being a British word for silly or foolish person is kind of how the muppets on the muppet show act. What do you think about that?
