I'm just a guy who stays in Los Angeles, California and loves to take photos and create videos. I hope to be able to provide videos that can help other creatives grow in their work.
I noticed that after shooting in the desert in Egypt. When I shot again back home I noticed somr spots on my footage, I had the same reaction 😂😂 I thought my lens was damaged or something
Bollocks. Who said you cant use this lens and the 18 to 35 with full frame in full frame mode. Take the lowest mm and times that to the crop. The answer would be where you use the range and forward. No vignette. Try it.
A video explaining payroll taxes would be awesome! Thank you for sharing Mario, super valuable and inspiring for filmmaking entrepreneurs. - Luis (P.S The 600c has been a workhorse on my sets! 🙏)
are you synching the audio into the zoom h6 with the Sony a73? or are u recoding separate audio ? is the sennheiser mke 600 mic your main mic ? ..I use that boom mic as well sometimes . also ,what features do u use with audio in post production ?
I record seperate audio and sync it in post. Yeah that mic sounds good. I’ll be honest I suck when it comes to audio I just drop it into adobe enhance speech and let it clean it up for me and that’s it haha audio has never been my specialty in post
this video is not to show out how much i pay but really to show you to make alot of money you have to be willing to spend, if that be marketing, self investing, so many ways to make money. I have lost alot of money. i have made alot of money but alot happened within my journey. if i can help in any way please let me know in the comments below and id love to make a video. its time i become transparent even though i know my parents will hate me for this haha. Creatives need help, and i feel i can bring alot of value and experience from creating but most importantly business side.
Could you perhaps make a video about lenses, the larger your lens, the less stable videos you get, is that correct because when I use 24m I get stable videos and with 85m it is unstable, can you explain something more about that?
Damn your story is my story right now. I still havent really shot much because i want to be the best i can be for whoever is willing to pay me and right now i dont think i can provide that yet. I have all the best gear and still thinking i need to understand framerates, proper lighting ect and all the other stuff fully or using the excuse that i dont have a strong enough laptop to edit yet. just need to get out there and start shooting and putting my all into it. I FW ya channel bro.... dope
I appreciate you bro! Yes just get out there start shooting just be transparent with whoever you’re filming. Let them know if it doesn’t come out as you like if they’re down to do 2nd day shoot. I probably did this like 10 times with no charge on the 2nd day if needed which helped me build my portfolio to land bigger ones later. Loose now win later 🙏
@@MarioVisions Love that idea. I have a shoot this weekend and honestly do not plan to charge them. Just want some folks to add to my portfolio and one day begin feeling comfortable to finally start dropping a price on people.
@rogerdatfilms that’s how it starts. Just let them know to give you time. My guy Paco was down to do it 5 times if I messed up he was patient. Some people won’t give you that time so just make sure the person you’re doing it for is cool.
@@MarioVisions Ive been searching through your videos while im doing my 9-5 job. I saw in a video you had the GH5. I currently have a GH6 and a GH5s. I know these cams are more geared towards video but is there any lighting set up you would recommend for in studio photo shoot? My guy offered me his office space to work out of and take future clients too. I just dont really know what to invest in for photos specifically with these 2 cameras? Hes seen my photos in the past and said those are good enough, but i want to truly deliver. Right now for lights all I have is a Apurture MC and MC Pro, 2 old quasar science T8 tubes (i hate cuz u need to plug them in) and just recently got a Nanlite Pavotube 30x. Anything you would reccomend to get good photos with my GH cams?
Latino? Subscribed. Great content!!! Going to go through your channel and see what else you got!! Im sure its just as great! And this video seriously has me considering getting one of these once i have the budget. Just copped a pavotube II 30X that im excited about receiving. Besides that alls ive ever had was 1 Apreture MC and MC Pro and 2 Quasar Science T8 tubes that I really dont like because of having to plug em in.
on a mission to keep the floor clear from any camera gear. i have no more cstands as well :]. we getting there. trying to make it an easy work place for me to shoot
Very informative video to the core 💯📸ima aspiring filmmaker and i too care about efficiency making sure everything is perfected and layered our correctly. I’m going to use your video over and over , thanks Mario! 🔥🤞🏾
It's bullshit that this company totally copied Aputures design on color scheme and carry bag. Sure the Aputure lights don't have rbg which is coll, but GVM still cheated by letting Aputure do all the heavy work with market research and testing, then they swoop in and drop a cheaper knock off. I don't like it. Just my opinion though...
I didn’t think of it like that. Unfortunately that’s how competition works. I own a few studios and I had 4 filmmakers copy my designs, so now it’s up to me to improve and change and stay ahead of competition. Sucks but that’s how brands keep innovating which helps us all with better products/designs 🙏.
Dope video bro, fantastic setup, love it! What budget wide angle lens would you recommend for starting out doing music videos with a sony zv-e1? Thanks
This was an annoying client not a bad client. I'm a photographer and had way worse situations than this. This is par for the course. My advice is if things like this make you feel like you should quit or give up then maybe you should because people are going to try you often. As he said just have everything in text or written down.
HATE that creatives get misused. Perhaps if we add a bit more of MEDIA LAW and PROJECT MANAGEMENT into our stack, When this stuff comes around we can hold our own.
The artist is now pissin’ me off. I hate working with clients like this. If you noticed it’s always the cheaper paying clients that want more for less. Higher paying clients almost never have these many demands. My guy, you’re paying for a small bundle that’s already built. You can pay for the happy meal expecting the Quarter Pounder Angus Beef meal 🍽️ 😂😂😂😂😂
Your price is to low. When I used to charge less I ran into the same problem you did. Always have a signed contract. Double your price. If you are the best then charge for it otherwise you will be taken for a fool. Move on and learn from this. Never ever be the good or nice guy be the professional and you will have more work and with clients who are proud to have you be the one in charge. You will laugh at all of this in a year from now when you only have great clients and are charging what your time is worth.😎
Sorry you had to deal with that BS, but it's sort of on you for overlooking those glaring red flags. You clearly need to listen to your girl more, she called it, early! Giving that client a refund would've saved you a lot of stress. Still, you handled it well, but don't let people like that discourage you.
I always tell new clients that if they want to do a 1 off video, they can find someone else.. I'm here to grow with them and make assets to make them successful in the long run. If they stuff up with small things like that you know it already...They don't want to pay a miserable extra few hundreds for your hard work? Just leave it, it's a client you don't want in the first place. Just keep clients that are respectful, see the value in what you do and always excited to make new cool projects with you. Why stressing with this, don't waste your time with close minded people. And also draft a proper contract with every single little detail, faq, person in charge (who you're dealing with, no one else), get it signed so they can't say anything about your deliverables.
