I remember playing my home on tenor in a 6/8 competition and it felt like FOREVER because we played the whole thing. It’s hilarious to watch this pipe band play itchy fingers after.
As a piper of twenty-four years, I want to say just how much I appreciate being able to HEAR the tenor drums! So often, they're drowned out by the pipes and side drums.
Anyone interested in learning this set, I would recommend getting the bagpipe player from the scottish piper club website and also downloading the tunes. It takes some getting used to but the program is a nice asset in learning new tunes and in getting your timing down correctly.
Overall a great job, Itchy Fingers and Clumsy Lover are hard enough tunes to play correctly for a solo-piper yet you guys played this as a band and it sounded good, tempo was excellent, I feel sometimes pipers try to play itchy fingers and clumsy lover to fast and the quality of the tunes suffer, I'd love to hear your band playing it again as I am sure you are probably nailing it by now, thanks, post again
I laughed at the dancing bear comment as I could see yogi bear playing the part. However ,allowing for a tight musical performance in part due to the rocking out by the bear. Great tenor drumming. I love this piece.
