Having a European mig gun connector would make switching between spool gun and mig torch quick and easy.Hear.s a linkru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SphwODq_U7A.html&ab_channel=Bobo%27ssmallworkshop It;s a different machine but the wiring dam near the same.
Hull planking is 6 mm okoume; the bottom is 9 mm, fiberglassed on both sides and up onto the side planking. Bulkheads are laminated together from layers of 9mm plywood. Epoxied together, the hull is light---only about 100 pounds---and very strong.
You should mount the buck converter for the spool motor inside the welding unit to prevent a short circuit when you accidently bump the leads against the work when working around corners/
What is the status of this interesting project ?!? In my opinion you need much more RPM, because the wire roller in the spool gun is way smaller. Equal RPM is not equal wire feed! Measure the wire feed ...
The converter has a tiny adjustable pot that allows you to change the voltage. You have to adjust it so the motor is receiving higher voltage. Assuming you got the correct buck converter. They come as step up or step down converters. You want an adjustable step up converter.

Dude just get cheap chinese PWM controler with digital display. So u can conect motor to energy source, like power adapters, transformer, and even batery power. Conect Gas directly to gun. So u dont need to swap anything when u go Argon for Alu welds. Or c25 for regular.
I literally can't figure out a single thing you're intending to say in your comment! It would help if you drop the "dude" in favor of words that mean something, learn to spell and construct sentences that make sense.
@@farmalmta if you can't see that PWM is an acronym for pulse width modulation, or that u is short for you, than you probably shouldn't try a Chinese spool gun.
RPM is not what your looking for it is ft. per min. you just have to play with it till it works . The dia. of the unit drive wheels compared to the spool gun is the problem, if you take the circumference of each you can figure out the feet per min. to RPMS. just did the same thing !
Bernd loos not sure what you mean. The electric engine in the spool gun has a different winding than the electric engine in the welder. The spool gun turns over at a much lower rate per volt than the welders. So even if you use the fastest setting on the welder the spool gun turns substantially slower.
thats why you use the step up module to increase the voltage for a faster rpm in the spool gun changes it from 5 volts to 10 AND MAX 24 TO 35 VOLTS THIS WILL INCREASE YOU FEET PER MIN AT THE GUN AND ALSO YOU ARE STILL USING THE RHEOSTAT ON THE MACHINE STEP-UP GOES ON THE 2 WIRES TO THE GUM MOTOR DC-DC Adjustable Step-up boost Power Converter Module XL6009 Replace LM2577 N62 on ebay
Love it! I just bought a stock '79 in green and it has a really good ride, the 4 stroke engine actually works really well and has a little more hill climbing power than similar 2 stroke bikes I have ridden
It is very easy because the mounts are the same for the larger Lifan engines. Literally just swap the engines. You will have to figure out your carb location but you can buy differently shaped intake pieces.
hey! I just bought this exact moped even the same color, it's the original 50cc and so annoyingly slow, please make a video explaining how to go about swapping the engine and everything, I really want to do this to mine
