This movie was full of hits and misses. The Pig story was incredibly stupid. “There are no wrong ones.” Really? You mistake a man for SA and still decide to murder him. Another extreme anti male feminist crap.
I saw that movie myself, and I don't remember Peter "lying" or "faking" his death; my recollection is that a message reporting his death was sent by mistake. (Maybe you saw another version?)
I watched the BFI version included in the Kino Blu-Ray. I think you’re right, but I just rewatched the scene: Pete sends a letter to Phillip explaining that he didn’t die, but to not reveal this to Kate so he can surprise her. While recollecting my thoughts on the movie, I must have misinterpreted that he purposely got reported as deceased. But he still plays into the misinformation, which is pretty ridiculous!
Keep in mind that Hitchcock didn't really have a "type" of story till the mid-thirties; these early films were assigned to him by the studios at which he was employed. He didn't get to pick and choose.
The Lodger is never given a name, Jonathan Drew, or anyone else. It was inferred from the novel by Mrs. Belloc Lowndes, but he is never referred to by that name in the film.
@@garytiptin6479 That’s pretty interesting! I probably gathered that name from the Letterboxd. Ivor Novello is typically listed as “The Lodger” and “Jonathan,” but I wouldn’t even think that the name is never mentioned in the movie itself.
Someone may have commented already, but you can remove the cardboard from the Warner bros DVD’s, you need to unsnap the back of the case (top and bottom) then it can slide out.
I watched this last week and loved it! It was among a great watch party of older Disney films and this has so far been my favorite (followed by treasure planet)
I've got this in a Mill Creek box set called Explosive Cinema. I was wondering whether to watch it when I stumbled across your video. I'll have to watch it tomorrow after work. Thanks for the heads up.
My favourite Tim Burton movie of all time is Charlie And The Chocolate Factory I seen it when it came out back in 2005 when I was a kid loved it then and still love it to this day I don’t like the original 1971 version to me it sucks
After Nickelodeon Movies, it had 13 titles in development that included: a crime-solving dog named Kogny and movies based on the best-selling children’s book The Stinky Cheese Man. Family-oriented, live-action titles in development included 2 adventure/sci-fi titles-Interstellar Pig and The Duplicate. Rounding out the Nickelodeon Movies slate were 5 live-action movies: Fearsome’s Hero, adapted from a Dona Schneker novel by Paul Zindel (“Runaway Train”); Ghost of Satin Sinclair, about a ghost who enters the body of a 16-year-old; Obnosious Jerks; about a girl who tries to join a boys’ club; Southern Friend Fugitives, mixing live action and computer animation, and Mirror Mirror, about a boy and his magic mirror.

Most of the Morgan Creek library is now handled by Sony through a deal with Revolution (who acquired the MC library). I go into this a bit in my history of the company. Curiously, "The King and I" appears to be owned by Relativity Media now (at least according to Amazon and Relativity's website).
I remembered One Saturday Morning, DiscoverKids, Kids WB, and Fox Kids. Fox Kids would carry me through the week after school, and One Saturday Morning is the main event with Kids WB later on in the afternoon.
In the end, Power Rangers went to Haim Saban after Jetix got succeeded by Disney Extra Dimensional. Meanwhile, as this went on, most of the Disney intellectual property were put under a new house for watching, which I watched a lot called Disney Plus.
The movie is honestly really solid when compared to other films. The editing, the acting, the script, the atmosphere/setting and story are actually very interesting. And the original score is absolutely amazing, on par with Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter. I think where the movie went wrong was some of the characters were miscast and the marketing for the film was absolutely atrocious. I don't remember ever seeing a trailer for the film. I only knew the film existed and watched it because my fifth grade teacher read us the book and I saw an advertisement for the film in the book.
1.How on earth was the og racist 2.the longer the film is the better 3.we have remakes to see different actors in the same roll if its not a direct Copy it's a bad film 4.camaren diaz was awful in this role beacuse carol Burnett was so mean is exactly why her redemption works better it actually teaches you a good skill still have empethy for the worst person 5.easy street is the best song from the film it was changed so much that its rediculos 6.
