I own this bike. This is the best purchase of any device I have made all year. It handles so well. The brakes are excellent. The ride is Fantastic. I am 270 lb. I upgraded the seat also. This bike is 9.9/10
How hot is it where you’re fishing? I just bought the Insta 360 x4 put it on 360 mode at 4K since it’s the lowest resolution I could record and it overheated in 30 minutes. Have you ever had this issue?
@@TiggsTailsFishingToo summer time temps get up in 90’s. On a calm non windy day it will record for a couple hours before over heating. But I normally get a whole day use on a windy day. I’m not sure how the temps work with the x4 I have the X3.
@@BassettBTV agreed, but this one in the Texas heat cannot last more than 30 minutes. The problem is it records in really high resolution so it heats up fast. I can get my GoPro’s to run all day though.
I'm surprised at the amount of wobble you are showing. Is this their heavy duty rack or the base model? Also is the hitch diameter on the car 1 1/4 inch? I think you said you have an adapter from 1 1/4 to 2 inch. TIA
@@chiptaxfree I test rode the Adventure 2 but for me the bike was too heavy and large for the riding it wanted. I needed something more light weight for trails. I did like it but preferred the level 2.
Now, I'm not sure about this hold true for the Level.2 but... A year ago, I owned the Adventure.2, the Fat Tire Aventon bike. I went into the Aventon APP and could unlock mine to do 28 mph throttle only (believe I needed to be in the highest assist mode). Not sure if that is the case anymore, or if the same holds true for the Level.2. Thought I'd mention it in case you wanted to look into it.
Just picked up the 360 X3. I need to learn about the tracking and usually I have someone with me. I am assuming two or more people will throw off the tracking.
Tracking is fairly easy. Just use the insta360 software and click the object you want to track and it does everything for you. I’m not sure how it operates with other people, I’m usually by myself.
It's really nice but the biggest problem is the video quality. Like for example, trees are all blurred and video isn't as crispy compared to a direct point action camera. If Insta360 can solve that issue, it'll be a 100% winner.
@@BassettBTV I had a look at the new X4 and appears quality is much improved. However it's still not quite there yet but still appears to be a pretty good upgrade over the X3. Definitely something I'd look into for fishing filming purposes.
Great review . I just ordered the adventure 2 . Im nervous it is too small. Im 6 3 ....340lbs but this gave me lots of confidence i made right decision 😊
I’m 6-5 and bought the aventure.2. I had the front handlebars raised. With that adjustment, it’s perfect for me. For a large person, I recommend the Aventure.2 because of the fat tires. It’s a beast. It’s good on the road and very stable on dirt or gravel paths. The level2 is also a great. My wife has the step thru version and she loves it.
Thanks! Ordering one today finally.. as for security would setting the bike to no assistance before you park it be a good way to help deter/counter thieves? Thief wont be able to zip away if they can somehow power it up.
Hi mate from th uk I weigh 231 pound i ride a ebike they are a only 250watts here as you say pedal asist helps me up hills but most of the time I ride on number 1 ore 2 the bike has 6 levels of assist and my bike weighs 4 and half stone and it certainly helps your fitness wouldn't be with out one stay safe regards ian
You can only use the throttle to go up hills. Now depending on the degree of the hill depends if it can make it up or not. Also the weight of the individual makes a difference. It will make it up depending on the steepness. I have had no issues with hills up to this point but I also don’t have any steep hills around me.
Thanks for this. Us hefty guys don't get alot of help through most reviews. One "Pro" review channel consider their 250 lb guys as "heavy". I'm gonna buy a bike at the end of this month, and it's nice to know that a 500w motor will do the trick, as I've been looking at 750w motors and up due to my size. This gives me alot more options now.
Hi, just a heads up...a 500 watt e-bike will not be able to take you up hills without some very strenuous pedaling. I'm 245lbs and had a 750 watt e-bike and had trouble going up hill. I've since purchased a 1500 watt Wired Cruiser e-bike and can now climb any hill in my area. With that said, if you plan on solely riding flat surfaces then a 750 watt would work fine but may not reach top speed. I've been riding e-bikes for years now so im happy to help if you have any questions!
I just purchased my first e bike at 70 yrs old, adventure 2,nice solid bike, great features but dang thing is a tank, even removing 10lb battery its a struggle to move and transport, i feel it's to much bike to ride comfortable, considering a down trade to aventon "sinch" 20lbs less weight and easier to mount ( knee issues),my a2 is step thru but getting my size 12 shoe the step thru not so good.
The A2 is a very heavy duty bike. Each bike depends on your riding style and location your riding. The sinch may weight less but how comfortable will it be. Recommend testing it out in a bike shop first. Everyone’s styles are different.
Thanks for this video, it is very informative. I also live in the Atlanta area. Do you have a bike shop that you recommend? Also, the trail that you were on looks great! What are your favorite trails to ride in this area?
I do not have a certain bike shop in Atlanta. Most trails I ride are silver comet, and the big greenway. There is a trail in Gainsville I’m still looking at taking soon. I believe the trail is still being built in some areas.
Thank you. I’m a 72 year old guy that weighs 265lb. It was great hearing from someone I can relate to. Close to getting my first e bike and am Leaning strongly towards the Level 2. There’s a bike shop only 10 minutes away that carries Acentin, so that’s a huge plus as well.
Just the review I was looking for, looking to swap out the side console in my 16.5 ft v hull boat for this console. Did you build all the decking and storage in your boat as well? Looks great
Glad the video helped you. Yes I built most of the storage in the center of the boat. It this console is a great product if your looking for a console.
Found your channel from your Level 2 for big guys review..... My wife and I both have the bike and we absolutely LOVE it..... Can you please share the name, link, whatever for your battery sleeve/bag? It can be on Instagram, on here, wherever you feel most comfortable with. We have an 86 mile each way trip coming up in May where we want to keep the battery extra protected and I bike commute to work during all of winter..... I have a bag just like that by another name brand that I love also.... Keep rising brother!!!!!
Not sure about waterproof. I have rode it in pouring down rain with no issues. I have a battery cover on the bike that also helps keep the battery dry and clean.
@@kushagrachaudhary2317 normally I wipe it down with some rags and spray. I don’t spray it down with a hose. Just because most of the time electronics and water don’t get along. But as long as your electronics stay dry you are good.
I think at around 2:25 you can see the location where John Boorman shot the nightmare scene where the hand comes out of the lake at the end of Deliverance.
This is great! We got the Aventon Aventure.2 which is a little bit bigger than the Level 2 (from what I can gather). Studies are showing the e-bikes offer 92% of the fitness benefits of regular bikes, but it just feels so much easier and more fun that it doesn’t feel like it’s as hard!
Thanks, I was looking into the Aventure 2 but it seemed too extreme for my area of ridding. E-bikes are a great way of fitness it takes more strength than people would imagine.
Tall-5’9…pant length 29 to ankles. I would still prefer the regular size over the large. Best bet would to located a bike shop that has both sizes and try them out. Both sizes work there is not much of a big difference but few inches.
@@BassettBTV My wife came home yesterday with a White R step-through and a Blue L like yours. I'm 5'11, 200lbs and I wear 32" long pants. The R seems a bit small to me, like I'm sitting at attention, but it's easy to get on. The L is probably a better fit, but something I hadn't considered was having to throw a leg over the seat at 68yo, especially if there's a bag on the back. I've tried mounting and dismounting several ways and I think leaning the bike over and stepping over the bar in front of the seat is the best for getting on, and dragging a leg over the seat is the best way to get off. Not sure what anyone else does since no one seems to show how they mount one of these Blue versions on any Aventon video I've seen. I'm considering trading Blue for a L step-throughs, but I need to make up my mind by tomorrow, hmmm....
@@Guitarstar4U the step through is very easier to get on and off the bike. I never used a step through before so I went with more similar one. Make sure your bike will fit your body type. If you need the larger size I would return and get the larger step through.
Great video. I undecided between the Level 2 and the Adventure 2. I'm going to do mostly rail trails and maybe some light off road stuff. What is the bag on your rear rack?
i have a insta 360 x 3 and i video our boating adventures but i find myself using my GoPro's more then the 360. But you pointed out some usefull tips . I think ill record more video with my 360 since watching your video. Great video!
I enjoy the 360 it captures all angles. You can always have the GoPro recording as a 2nd option for a different angle. But give it a try you might like the 360 better.
Thank you for the review. The bike sleeve your using on the Level 2. I followed the link provided, do you recommend the large or medium battery frame sleeve. Thank you. Scott
So I bought the medium and it fits but it is tight. At the time the large was not in stock. Both should work, if I was to buy another I would go with the large.
I think it’s a excellent rack but for me it’s useless do to it’s 75# weight limit. My fat tire bike w battery is close to 90# even with the battery off it’s too heavy. Hopefully they come out with a strong model until then my $150 Black Widow carrier is one of the best for heavy ebikes
Most regular size e-bikes are under the 75lb weight limit. But they do make the extreme duty rack for heavier bikes, but it is pricey. We all have different styles.
Thanks, that was out of Balus creek between flat creek and browns bridge rd. Fishing downlines with 10lb leader and a 1/0 hook using minnows around 60-70ft deep. Hope this helps.
