Relay.app is a modern, easy-to-use automation tool with built-in AI and Human-in-the-Loop controls. Use it to automate workflows across Gmail, Notion, HubSpot and 100+ other apps.
Jacob...nice, to-the-point video tutorial on triggers. Relay has been a great tool for us extracting data from incoming emails to create entries in our order tracking sheet with all the relevant details. It has reduced our manual entry exponentially! Thank you.
Hey guys, what if there are multiple "amounts" and "dates" in an email? For instance, an invoice may contain a breakdown of the items ordered (and their respective amounts) as well as the total amount for the entire invoice. Is the AI able to distinguish which value to fetch? How reliable is this? I know current AI models aren't perfect and they can make mistakes. Any tips to workaround potential inaccuracies in the extracted data?
Good question! You can have the AI step to output a "List" where for each item in the list you'll get an amount and a date etc. Afterwards, you can use the Iterator from the Flow Control menu to perform actions for each item in the list (e.g. adding these adds rows to a spreadsheet) If you need more support, feel free to use the support button in the product!
Very good catch! I ran it again that way with GPT-4o mini, accuracy was perfect, and cost was way lower (.1 or .2 AI credits per run, ~30x cheaper). So if PDF->text is an option in your use case, that tips the scales way in favor of GPT-4o mini
Amazing work, congratulations. Can you make a tutorial for create and post tweet but with aleatory selection of a link inside a RSS Feed ? For example, you have a Feed, RelayApp selec one of them and create a Tweet each day for propulse one url of a blog ?
Love the app and your positive energy. What tools do you use to make such beautiful screen recordings, with video portrait of yourself and the cursor getting bigger and following movement and the window showing just the browser chrome? Appreciate your feedback.
Definitely. You could add an Iterator that goes over each individual attachment and extracts the information from each. More detail here: www.relay.app/features#iterators
Yup that will work, you'll just need to change the Gmail steps to Outlook. More info on our Outlook integration here: www.relay.app/apps/outlook-mail/integrations
Do this works with splitting data from any source. I am trying to split the response from AI custom prompt, and not getting option to split it into bulleted points.
I need help, could not figure out how to select option generate structured data after following the steps onto #2. It seems like my side is different from what is being shown.
Please use the support option (bottom right ?) in the app or send an email to support@relay.app so we can take a look a your issue and see if we can get you up and running!
Amazing use case, and I love that you walk through the entire thing from start to finish. I know a lot of people using a new application are always looking for things exactly like this to get them going.
Thank you for the amazing work you’re continuing to do with Relay. I really appreciate the level of consideration with the features you all have chosen to build out & include in the platform! These kinds of videos are quite helpful as welll. Hope things continue to grow for you all!
You have a couple of options to preview a message before it's sent: 1) do a test run 2) add a human-in-the-loop step 3) "create a draft" instead of sending In this demo, we showed (1) and (2), but (3) is sometimes useful as well!
It is possible actually! We didn't have a chance to cover it in this video, but you can set up a "Role" that is populated from Notion and use that Role as the sender of the automation in our "Run As" menu. We'll be sure to include that in a follow up video on more advanced usage.
I have some feedback for you. Your Free Plan, just doesn’t work. Think about it , if I have 100+ apps on my system, and you allow me to use Relay for free for 200 steps, making it 30-40 emails assuming that each email will have 2-4 linkages, I will use the mail merge once a month, if I remember to use it. So I will use another app instead by exporting it as a csv and sending it across. Once a month use of an app renders it useless. I do mails from my mac all the time, but I use a CSV export and another app, that I paid for one time, I send thousands of emails a month without a problem.
