Dequan Finn is the most exciting player they have on offense. But you removed him because of two interceptions. Cam Ward the most prolific qb this year has thrown four interceptions, but he is still the starting qb for the University of Miami. Robertson does not have that x-factor that gives DCs fit. Baylor has no running game and the OL is horrible.
🤣😂😭 they can turn it around but it won’t be with Aranda. Empty seats are facts, no one is going to waste their time, money, and gas on a wounded dog looking for a place to die.
I feel like Baylor is getting better. I don't know where defense was the first half, but they're definitely better than they were last year. O is also better, but still needs to gel. I like Spav and the recent recruiting. I would like another year for Aranda to see if they can finish the comeback. But he is running out of runway. Being better isn't enough if they don't have W in the column.
So if y’all are tired of it, why don’t you stop covering Baylor and go follow another team. You people sitting here whining day in and day out is what’s old. The fans hear it and so do the players and coaches. Baylor has always had fair weather fans. You’re going to be the very reason we keep on struggling because y’all down the program and it makes it extremely hard to recruit and then hold the recruits. Sure it’s frustrating losing especially when you shouldn’t. I do remember the Israelites wandered around in the dessert for 40 years because they couldn’t get their attitudes right. Same thing seems to be going on here except it’s the talking heads like y’all that just run ninety miles an hour with criticism and very little praise. Yeah, it’s getting old and I refuse to listen any longer!
Now, I’m taking away from this that you are satisfied with the results of the past few seasons and will be satisfied with it if it continues? These guys are doing their jobs, like it or not, but facts speak for themselves. I don’t want to see Aranda fired but I also don’t want this to continue.
@@richlanders4507 I know they aren’t playing to their potential. But, who wants to be criticized every day. These guys know that they aren’t performing to their potential. Just shut down the every day bombardment and put some positive vibes into their heads. They will perform better with positive vibes than they will with a constant negative vibe. We have the talent. We the fans need to help motivate the players, not tear them down constantly. Coaches aren’t exempt from criticism either. When they need to be criticized, do it and move on! That’s what I’m thinking!
The lack of finish, discipline and repeating the same mistakes week in and week out are unacceptable. Aranda must go. It's time. He is not head coach material.
The strange thing has seen Baylor's offense improving, still need lots of work to improve the run game. Defense was expected to be the strength of the team this year and last week they looked poor.
“Coach Aranda says it all the time” “We know how to win” “Care factor” “we were obviously the better team”every week the same old tired cliches after a loss. The “Care Bears” give them a hug.
How long do these Big 12 schools think they'll have playoff spots if they keep performing like this? The way these schools are performing, the Big 12 champion is gonna get their heads handed to them in the playoff. Performance in the playoff is the new metric for pay and playoff spots. I'm not gonna say they're not trying tbeir best. But so far, their best is not good enough. The Big 12 has to get playoff wins. That's how the conference survives. How you do that is have coaches and staffs that can go head to head with coaches like Kirby Smart. And there's no reason these schools cannot do that. Art Briles did it Bill Snyder did it. Tom Osborne built a blue blood doing it. OU and Texas isn't coming to save anyone. Whatever the Big 12 will be is totally on the Big 12 schools. Winning playoff games, not getting to playoff games is life and death for the Big 12.
Mr Smoky, BYU fans will always be greatful to Baylor for at least two big favors they have done for us. First, is when the Baylor QB transfered to Utah which helped BYU beat Utah for the first time in a very long time. The second was allowng BYU to win the game at BYU after their kicker missed a couple of easy field goals at the end of the game. Possibly a third reason is when Baylor beat BYU 2 years ago at Baylor. BYU learned a lot about what it takes to play in the Big 12. Sitake took note and made sure he got more depth and better players.
BYU fan here. We felt the same at the end of last year, and, though we've got a lot to improve, our problem is now headed in the right direction. Look at what Colorado did to UCF. You were playing a 4-0 ranked team. Even Utah lost yesterday. Your team is right there, that's just the way the ball bounces sometimes. I'm definitely cheering for Baylor whenever they're not playing BYU, especially next week. Go Bears!
BYU’s OC, Aaron Rodrick, played PREVENT Offense, he tried his best to loss. Why BYU takes its foot off the gas pedal, pump the breaks and call pedestrian plays when they have a lead. It’s crazy LAME!
What was the atmosphere like at the stadium? If students who get free tickets aren’t attending that’s concerning too. It’s seems like game day support is dying under this head coach and there’s no growing excitement around the program. Real BU fans are sick of “competing hard.” We want to win! Sic Em Bears
If you cant run the ball you cant win, we do need a hard nose coach and some tuff players, Dont need a sunday school class on the football field we need some lean mean dudes.
Sorry buddy, but you're only the better team once Conner Pay goes down. You say you started to notice Retzlaff's fundamentals start to go out the window? It's around the time he started relying on the right guard to play center. Every snap was inches off the ground. Also relied on 4th and 6th string RB's. Credit where it is due, Y'all's receivers were the best position group on the field, followed closely by QB (Robertson is a beast) and OL in pass protection. If I'm a Baylor fan I get the frustration with Aranda but I say rally around your team. There are still winnable games on this schedule
Losing Taggart at LB aided their comeback as well. He was stopping Robertson on those QB runs. Run the ball, stop the run, win TO battle (tie). That's how you win most games. ✔️
That’s why Dequan Finn must be the starter his run ability opens up the offense. Bad coaching decision to remove him from the lineup, bad decision. The Bears are going to get massacred in Ames, unless Finn is the man.
If we continue to start slowly and lose games, Aranda is gone. That's my guess. If we can somehow start quickly and win a few more games, it's anyone's guess. At this point, I don't care. I think I'm ready for Dave to move on, and that's from an Aranda supporter.
Coug fan here. I have nothing but respect for Baylor. You guys could’ve just given up but no way you fought like hell and your team is far better than your record shows just going through a rough patch ,but if you’ll stay the course, I think you guys can turn it around.
@@dougfeehan8421 I can see it wide-open dude I was talking about this year. Every coach and every team has down years. Lou Holtz had down years. Every big program have had down years. The hard part is all of us fans is to have patience. Hell there areBYU fans are bitching that they won the game but didn’t win by 21 points. Baylor has good talent at obvious but it’s a matter of players meshing and getting along together. It seems that was the same problem. BYU had last year.
These players and their "we were clearly the better team today" nonsense is gonna get ya'll another bowl less season. Serious attitude adjustment required before they go to Ames..........
Teaff had 2 winning records in his first 5 years. This team is growing, the mistakes OL need correction. NIL should go towards talented big guys. I’d give Aranda two more years.
They aren’t growing. They are in fact making zero progress. Continuous slow starts, untimely penalties, turning the ball over. Every single week. It’s a “we’ll do better” press conference and nothing to show for it.
Time for Aranda to go this Baylor team is done for the season. Sawyer Robertson my ass, will Aranda pull Sawyer from the starting lineup for that stupid ill advised pass that was intercepted?
There were some positives Baylor could take away I think. Qb is gamer. Baylor controlled most of that game and a really good byu defense had no answer for the pass time and time again. The Baylor receivers were playing insane making multiple diving catches with a toe in bounds and getting very open. defense really adjusted and stuffed up the byu offense after q1. It shows that Baylor is actually a formidable team with a lot of talent and can still finish strong in the conference. It’s all there. Could easily be one of the 5-0 teams making waves in the conference. It’s not that Baylor is “a terrible team”
@andrewthestreeter i think they gave him too much money after the Big XII championship to do that. Another losing season and it's lights out though. Heading that way. I feel sorry for these kids. They are talented and should be blowing teams out. Instead they are being played well below their abilities and you can see the frustration on there faces after these bogus calls on offense. Defense is solid and can play with anybody I believe. Aranda is too distracted doing both. I think that was the reason he was made to coach the defense.
Thank you for the clarification, but it doesn't take away from Hankins bad miss against Colorado that would've ended it. But, special teams can't be average when your team is average at best. Solid special teams make a good team great, I mean, kicking, coverage teams, returns. Solid special teams can make an average team good, Baylor is inconsistent across the board, KR for TD vs Buffs, long PR too, but miss a game sealing FG, just can't do it.
