I hate how when Shaun goes off about how the Commonwealth was a “lost cause” we can’t retort directly back how they sabotaged their greatest attempt at a unified peaceful government.

Murdering him beforehand locks you out of her ring and the option to marry her, I learned that the hard way when I killed him by accident doing the Atherium Forge quest
2nd playthrough (not a NG+)... She didn't say anything like this when we went there together, and yes she already revealed to me she was part of house Va'ruun, she was my partner and gave me her dagger and everything already, and she didnt say any of these lines :(
All the Institute complains about is how barbaric the wasteland is, and when they try to make a government they come in and kill everyone lol. Emil's writing at its finest.
then Institutes rasoning for the Massacre is completly stupid "they couldnt reach any agreements" the Provisional Government was still new at this point and had a long process of negotiations ahead to actually get up and running and the Institute just went "yeah we are not going to wait for that lets kill everyone involved" the Commonwealth could have been a paradise if the Institute stayed in the Provisional Government and didnt kill everyone involved.
Terminals in the Institute and in some dialogue give their “official” story, which says that they tried to work with the CPG until it fell apart from infighting, which matches what happened to the Minutemen.
@@furrycow9263 Note that the Institute "official" story doesn't say that it fell apart from infighting, but that it WAS falling apart due to infighting. And this was in their view. Which poses a lot of questions: Was it really falling apart? Or was it being a waste of time, or even a threat, to the Institute? What exactly was "trying to work with CPG" mean for the Institute? Political infighting will always happen amidst a democracy, no matter what. We all have different views. You see that happening everywhere, from relationships, to companies, to national politics, etc. Even within the Institute you see infighting happen. Doesn't really mean it is falling apart. However, how useful was CPG to the Institute, really? We see throughout the game that the Institute as a sort of superiority complex. They had a vision, and wanted to implement in the world - they wanted it THEIR way. There are no records of them trying to truly create a world together with the Commonwealth. Them being present at CPG is more of a proof of them being present there - but not a sign of them really wanting a united Commonwealth. For all we know, they might have tried to always implement THEIR way. Ever since the beginning, they wanted to "Redefine Humanity". The only debate we see happening is: Should we be a bit considerate of the people above? Or completely disregard them? But we do not see any attempt of creating a world together with the people of the CommonWealth - THEIR way was, basically, unnegotiable. Synths were already being deployed, even if they were prototypes that ended up malfunctioning and killing everyone around. And when this happened, the Institute never tried to explain why and apologize for it. Even with the CPG Massacre, where only the Institute survived, there was no attempt to explained what happened - which is awfully convenient for them. Therefore, it is not farfetch'd to think that the Institute view the CPG political debate as "infighting" and - for them - a waste of time, and proof that it does not work. Similar to how Authoritarian governments see Democracy - especially when they considered their way the best way, just like the Institute does. So, was the CPG really falling apart? Or did the Institute had their own views on political debate, and decided to take them down? A united CommonWealth is not good for the Institute - and we see from some Institute quests that they see any union as a "threat" - with the exception of the Minutemen, but given their small presence in the beginning, and that the MC is their general, I wouldn't really account them. If the CPG was really falling apart, then why did the Synth kill all of them? There would be no need if they were falling by themselves. We saw no records about the Synth being threatened or shot at, not even from the Institute's own records and history. So why was there a need for the Massacre? It is also awfully convenient that there was only ONE survivor, which happened to be from the Institute to live and tell the story.....
Fear her out of town. I always spend half an hour doing that because the kids will come out and chase after the body and you can watch them hurl themselves off a cliff to chase after Grelod's corpse.

Only radiation I’ve ever been exposed to in my life is the glow in the dark stickers that people put in their bedrooms. Maybe stick some on yourself so you’re used to it. Yea I dont know anymore
I honestly think it would have been cool if every one of these offshoots had their own stories. Instead of having a 40 hour main quest, we’d have eight six hour long main quests and the unity brings you to the next universe and next part of the story. I feel that would make going through the unity a better choice for people. It’s just such a shame that there’s so much content people will never see in this game because they got so bored of it. Most people I know didn’t even make it halfway through before they got bored and quit. I quit for about 7 months and only just started playing again.

He's wearing the Minutemen General uniform. You can get it from a corpse in the castle's basement when completing the quest "Old Guns" The quest is a Minutemen quest triggered after retrieving the caste for the Minutemen. The outfit has some pretty good stats.
He's probably heading to the RobCo sales and service. You should try to get him all the way there to see if anything cool happens. Or possibly fast traveling to it after changing to that setting?
